Keen on Newcastle R7 Nick The Skip $2.5 today.

3 seconds from 3 starts this prep, and should finally break through today now that he's hard fit, in a race that suits and with the help of an important gear change.

You'll notice blinkers for the first time and that should see him get across the line I feel. Comes back 100m in trip which won't hurt given he was run down last start. Should box seat from barrier 1 or potentially hold the rail and lead if the pressure isn't too much.

He's suited by the set weights conditions given he'd concede them weight based on his multiple second placings. Gets his (last) chance today. Never been on him so he owes me nothing for those misses.

Sandown race 4 Black And Tan looks a really good chance today. I can't see her missing each way. Swoopers have won the first two races. She'll be hard to hold out.

Well that hurts. I had a huge bet at $6.50/$2.20. Purcell thing jumped out of the ground to get me right on the line for 3rd.

Messy race. Absolutely walked. I was caught 3 deep for a little bit.

Had it's chance though.

If anyone is doing form for tomorrow - have a look at Kensington race 6. Vihari. Watch it's last run at Newcastle. I would say it's comfortably in the top 5 biggest certainties beat l've ever seen. They put up 19's for tomorrow. Smashed into $8.50.

Something obviously has gone amiss. Gun run and only plodded.

I'm going to blackbook Smokin' Suzy out of that race. Incompetent ride. The young lass never looked she wanted to participate in the race. Unfortunately it looks like she's always on this horse but if there is a rider change l will be loading up in a moderate maiden.
