Hawkshot should just jump to the front and run them into submission.

Wins easily.

Are you thinking of a different horse mate?

He did run a good second to the near favorite in the race in MJ. Deserves his spot especially considering many others

I’ve had a bonus bet on Hartnell. Probably runs like a crab but we’ll see.

His record when drawn inside is very good.

A solid bet especially when only a few chances

Happy Clapper is the 2nd best horse in the world based on the Longines Ratings (123)...Let's hope he runs well in the All Star Mile..
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

Hartnell was huge, couldn't get a run but got going late once he got a gap, filly was good but I reckon Hartnell beats her with even luck.

Hartnell wins with luck.....just no.

MJ had hardest run in race and still won and was leaving them on the line......

Absurd comment.

Watch the head on or whatever angle suits and look at how long it takes him to find a run.

Three wide facing the breeze Afros. That’s hard enough to do at Flemington at the best of times. Stunning performance.

Among your four selections, including Le Romain which in your own words you plonked.

But that aside, interesting if unsurprising to note that the first eight home were invitees rather than voted-in contestants.  Dead

Saw few races there today, looked very hard to come from long way back? She is a star, not Winx class obviously but another female horse that will capture the public

C’mon, mate. You did say she was no chance against Alizee and the like. I tried to convince you otherwise

Just 9.75 lengths covered first to last.

When you think how deep the tail was that is not a great margin.

True Djebel, but not a single voted-in horse in the first eight home.  Sort of sums thing up.

Have to have a closer look but the longshots were ridden like I expected- quiet, with a chance to finish it off. The gooduns were generally ridden more aggressively- ie to win. Probably explains it a bit. Ridden like Hawkshot, Grunt or MJ a few would have been tailed off.

But no doubt Carpenter will be parroting that stat.
