No doubt there will be rumors of the vets motives for scratching the pair.

Now that the race is here, who are people’s tips?

I’m hoping for MJ, but the head says Alizee. May take the quinella and throw in Hawkshot for the tri.

The three in question are being checked again by the stewards tomorrow.

If all three come out it will inject a bit of class into the race but also a fair bit of pressure. LR, HS and TFF going in certainly changes the speed map. Very different complexion to the race. Still like MJ.

You'd expect so.  Running in the March Stakes if he doesn't get a run in this.

STEWARDS: Material Man & Urban Ruler both passed fit to contest @allstarmile (Flemington R8 16/3) after re-examination by vets today. Both to be re-examined on-course tomorrow as a precaution. Bar plates approved for both: Material Man (left fore), Urban Ruler (left & right fore)

I've a feeling p/money is dependent only on being deemed a runner.

I'm going off Kings Will Dream in the Cox Plate. Failed to complete course and received zero prizemoney, despite 8th paying 75k. Don't know the conditions of the All Star though...

Same. They still have to pass the post.
That’s my concern, I sincerely hope they don’t hurt themselves any further.

Not a good look for racing if we have breakdowns in the inaugural ASM. Racing needs to be extremely proactive regarding horse welfare, the industry is under the public microscope?
