Will this stallion make it ? His current American figures are over 7.5% stakes winners to runners. Only half a dozen named unraced 2yr olds in Australia. Is he value or fools gold?

He can make it here, but hampered by that small first crop.

His sire could have been a huge success here, but did more than enough beforereturning to the USA after just two seasons here with 6 stakes-winners from less than 120 live foals.

The pedigree is too American for me. I have never liked US dominated pedigrees.

Mr Prospector twice, same with Northern Dancer, Danzig, Distorted Humor himself.  Nah, that could never work down under.

Interestingly enough he has an Aussie as part of his pedigree , Royal Gem who by the looks was a superstar Winning the equivalent of 9 group 1s by today's standard.
He also has a double of Traffic Judge who is the sire of Best in Show (incredibly successful here) , also carries an X chromosome of Northern Dancer ,a double of Tom Rolfe who sits in Street Cry's pedigree also Hussonet's pedigree both very successful here. I wouldn't write him off.

My mate owns a share in the horse racing Saturday.
I got offered a share and turned it down as I have my hands full.
Word from stable is I am going to regret this for quite a while

Don't know much about the sire but I've always liked Forty Niner (13c over 1n) pedigree from the family of Dignitas who also did well in Australia.

He has the highest AEI from the lowest CI broodmares in 2nd season sires in America.
If that means anything.

Means a lot. They are the stallions who rise thru sires ranks: despite the low initial service fee; despite not having platitudinous & voluminous BS advertising: & despite the lowly book of mares they start with

Spendthrift Farm Announces 2019 Stud Fees, Led By Into Mischief At $150,000

Jimmy Creed, currently North America's number-two second-crop sire, will also see his stud fee move to $20,000 S&N for 2019 after siring 11 black type horses and five black type winners, led by Grade 2-winning 3-year-old colt Kanthaka.

I bought into a Jimmy Creed / Ramsey's Bet colt.

Ramsey's Bet was un-raced however comes from a successful family - full sister to Booby's Kitten (C) and Camelot Kitten (C), who are both considered to be some of Kitten's Joy top performers. Interestingly Ramsey's Bet youngest full sister (2017) recently sold in the UK for just under (GBP) $1M.......so hopefully some of the pedigree washes off on our young colt.

They appear to get over ground on both the Dam and Sire's side - up to 2,400m (Turf) and our bloke is certainly barrel chested and appears to be built for much the same.

Time will tell as they say and many many hurdles to jump before he even reaches the track.

Hopefully a Jimmy Creed runner hits an Australian track soon.

Won today at Swan Hill, first Aus winner for Jimmy Creed I think. I bought one as a weanling- he’s a yearling now and is very small. Great mover and amazing temperament though. I’m just going to leave him to grow (hopefully) before doing much with him. I’m guessing they are all later types based on his lack of 2yo runners but haven’t seen many in the flesh.

Best of luck Venus.  He only had 16 surviving first crop foalsand has had just the two starters for that winner yesterday.

It's hard to compete when your numbers are so far down on the first season stallions with crops of over 100.

He also had a runner in Singapore (Magnum Force) a few weeks back which won it's 6th race......60/1 odds and actually won the mile race quite convincingly. Agree they seem to be late bloomers and need a bit of ground.

Our colt is just being broken-in.........thankfully showing signs of having a good temperament also.

Statement of Faith running again this weekend at Morphettville.......a tougher grade so interesting to see how the Filly has progressed from her first-up run.

Noticed that Knock Knock was nominated for a mdn at Donald but wasn't/didn't accept......so obviously back in training.

There have only been a few runners so far in OZ.

Knock Knock and Statement of Faith have shown the most promise so far - both breaking their maiden status. Knock Knock ran 2nd to a smart type - Peidra - who ran in a couple of Grp 3 races ....... without success though.

Our Colt is progressing well and should have his first jump out in the next month. Good temperament however we are taking our time with him. I suspect you will see the best of them at 3yrs and over a bit of distance.

Magnum Force is another gelding that runs regularly in Singapore.

The most promising Jimmy Creed colt running in the US is probably - King Jack.

He has only had the 3 runs and won at Group 2 level. Ran 2nd to Improbable who ran 2nd favourite in a couple of the triple crown races including the Kentucky Derby.

King Jack has a Seattle Slew - A.P.Indy - line also......

Our Colt has been named - Expectant.

Has had a couple of jump outs over 300m and 600m. Was lost on the 1st jump out at 300m however ran confidently on the 2nd occasion over 600m - leading the field over the line. Jockey pleased with the feel.

Progressing well - unsure if will progress to a trial this time in as he needs to develop a little more - so returning to the paddock may be next stop instead.
