I wonder how 158.3 became the top rating? I've always wondered why it isn't a round number, say 100.

That’s nothing compared to some of the baseball sabermetrics. The Yanks love their stats. Dip you toe into some of websites dealing with this stuff- who doesn’t want to know what a player’s WAR and VORP is - and you need a degree in advanced mathematics.
I wonder what they make of Timeform |

Imagine if T20 cricket ever took off over there what they would do with the stats around that?

Shut the gate, the evil empire are playing on championship Sunday again...
The Chargers will have so many regrets about this season, tied best record in the AFC but have thrown up 2 absolute shockers in the last month, one cost them the #1 conference seeding and now this. May be an argument for seeding according to record rather than giving division winners with inferior records a higher seeding but I doubt they'll ever do that. |

I think everyone and their dog who is not a Patriots fan Afros, will be on the Chiefs this weekend.
Great clash between Andy Reid and Bellichek. The Rams look morals to me against the Saints, but the superbowl winner comes from the match at Arrowhead Field! |

Patriots will win, this is their time of year. I'm tipping an old boys super bowl, Brady vs Brees.

Belichick is to smart, he'd already have developed a plan for the Chiefs after they last met and will tweak it this week according to what he's seen from them lately.

I'm actually having a bit of the $4.50 on the Rams. Got a lot of time for Goff & I like the way they have now developed a 2 man rushing game. Gurley & Anderson are both quality & offer different strengths.

Championship Sunday tomorrow, Pats @ Chiefs and Rams @ Saints.
I think the Saints will win, Brees experience will definitely help. They'll play the Pats in the Super Bowl, I just think Belichick will have been planning for Mahomes since they met in the regular season. |

Reckon Saints are entitled to be favorite, but nothing like 1.60 v 2.35.
And 2.40 would appear an inviting quote for the Patriots compared with 1.58 the Chiefs even given the latter's terrific home record. Agree with the Mahomes comment without disparaging the young bloke. Should be a great day's viewing irrespective.

Saints leading by 3 at the half after a couple big gains by Brandon Cooks and Gurley punching the rock in. Good second half coming up!

Bloody hell I just saw the stats, Pats time of possession over 21 minutes to KC 9 minutes, outgained them 245 yards to 32, perhaps New England should be further ahead?

Tom has 2 minutes and 3 timeouts to find a TD to win it, this scares me if I'm KC.

Winning the toss was arguably the difference imo, with both defenses all out and on the rack.

Probably an argument for changing the rule that the team who defend first in OT get a shot back even if the receiving team get a TD, such a cruel way to end a season and given the offense gets so many calls go their way it gives the coin toss to much weight in the result. Mahomes deserves credit for getting the go ahead TD and than the game tieing field goal but I'm sure he'll regret giving Brady so much time to work with there, if rhey had taken it below the 2 minute warning and forced the Pats to burn some timeouts then who knows.

A couple of comments from two great captivating games which will have many talking points. The LAR-NOS game was marred by some mis calls late in the game which had they been reviewed or properly called would of sent NOSaints to the SBowl. Which gives a bit of query as to the NFLs credence as the referees are constantly blundering big calls. The video replays just add time to the games which is just getting out of hand, but with so much riding onthe outcome every play is micro-analyzed now. The KCC-NEP game was also marred by these video checks in the 4th quarter and just dragged this game on. Sure the NFL and the sponsors loved it. SBowl LIII from Atlanta will be highly rated given that the NFL has the two teams it wants there for ratings. Repeat of SBowl XXXVI, buot of course Rams were in St. Louis then, when \Brady won his first ring in an upset. Sh*te that was 17 years ago!

Agree Brudder. Two bad calls, the last one absolutely pivotal.

Gotta feel for Drew Brees, that non PI call proved to be the difference and you've got to wonder if thats his last chance to grab a second ring.
Man its getting boring seeing the Patriots there nearly every year, hopefully Brady retires soon. |

Dont think there was a struck match between NO & Rams. Both would have been deserved winners. Think NE were the the better team. Dominated possession & unusual for Brady to come up empty (intercept) 2nd red zone attempt.
Head says NE - Heart says Rams. Would like to see Gurley get a bit more game time - although Anderson is also doing a great job. Gurley dropped a couple of pivotal passes today. Cant afford to do that against NE

They've got bloody stupid coaches challenge rules, so that the shocking non-call on the pass interference on Lewis that cost New Orleans a certain win could not be challenged.

When does it start? I want to see Brady get sacked 8 times and throw 5 interceptions.

Would like some thoughts on this. Sportsbet have a market on the longest single penaltyof the game - over 15.5 yards or less than 15.5 yards. So as i see it you need a pass interference call. A week ago the price opened at $2.47 for the over. Then into $2.08, then $2.02 & latest $1.98. I got on late & missed the price. i reckon the odds of a penalty interference call is more likely than not across the game - & with the famous non-call in the NO game even more so.What am i missing here ?
