Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the Hungarian and Russian relationship has never been stronger.

In fact, Moscows Bolshoi theatre will host an operetta gala to honour renowned Hungarian composers Imre Kalman and Franz Lehar, for the first time in history.

Japan has also recently announced it remains steadfast allies with Hungary.

The war games have most certainly begun.

Visegrad 4 nations, and including Italy, which last week announced it wishes to join, has left the following nations alone.
England.
Germany
France.

In addition to this, the United States of America, is most certainly siding with Visegrad 4 nations.

There is an overwhelming desire to end insane levels of migration into Europe and restore nationhood.

Ordinarily, Russia would have supported England, but this is no longer the case.
The Putin controlled Russia is siding with Hungary and Visegrad 4.

Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, remains enemy of George Soros.
Netanyahu does not support Soros funding migration protests.

So, not that we know here in Australia, but the battle lines have never been clearer.

Macron of France, remains very much hated by millions of French.

LOL BIGTIME

Orban and Hungary are suing the EU, for breaching the Lisbon Treaty and not accepting votes that were made in absentia.
Therefore, the EU vote to apply article 7 against Hungary, is now null and void, cannot be actioned upon, and the President Jean-Claude Juncker and his Vice President Frans Timmermans are guilty of serious breach of EU Parliamentary laws.

I love the way that Orban uses the bastards laws against them.

LOL

This is a major major story. Not that you would know here in Australia.
But believe me, Trump etc, are laughing at this stuff.
While you are all mixed up in impeachment nonsense, all these huge things are going on in Europe.

From the European Parliament

Rule of law in Hungary: Parliament calls on the EU to act

12-09-2018

- Proposal approved by 448 votes to 197
- EP sees a clear risk of a serious breach of the EU founding values in Hungary
- Judicial independence, freedom of expression, corruption, rights of minorities, and the situation of migrants and refugees are key concerns
- Council may address recommendations to Hungary to counter the threat

Parliament has asked EU member states to determine, in accordance with Treaty Article 7, whether Hungary is at risk of breaching the EU´s founding values.

The request was approved by 448 votes to 197, with 48 abstentions. To be adopted, the proposal required an absolute majority of members (376) and two thirds of the votes cast - excluding the abstentions.

This is the first time that Parliament has called on the Council of the EU to act against a member state to prevent a systemic threat to the Union's founding values. These values, which are enshrined in EU Treaty Article 2 and reflected in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, include respect for democracy, equality, the rule of law and human rights.

MEPs called on EU countries to initiate the procedure laid down in Article 7(1) the EU Treaty, noting that despite the Hungarian authorities' readiness to discuss the legality of any specific measure, they have not addressed the situation, "and many concerns remain". They stress that this is the preventive phase of the procedure, providing for a dialogue with the country concerned, and that it is "intended to avoid possible sanctions".

Parliament recalls that Hungary's accession to the EU "was a voluntary act based on a sovereign decision, with a broad consensus across the political spectrum" and underline that any Hungarian government has a duty to eliminate the risk of a serious breach of the EU's values.

Parliament's key concerns relate to:

- the functioning of the constitutional and electoral system,
- the independence of the judiciary,
- corruption and conflicts of interest,
- privacy and data protection,
- freedom of expression,
- academic freedom,
- freedom of religion,
- freedom of association,
- the right to equal treatment,
- the rights of persons belonging to minorities, including Roma and Jews,
- the fundamental rights of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees, and
- economic and social rights.

Quote

Judith Sargentini (Greens/EFA, NL), who authored the report, said: "In the week that we debate the state of the Union, the European Parliament sends out an important message: We stand up for the rights of all Europeans, including Hungarian citizens and we defend our European values. Now it is up to the European leaders to take their responsibility and stop watching from the sidelines as the rule of law is destroyed in Hungary. This is unacceptable for a Union that is built on democracy, the rule of law and fundamental rights."

Next steps

The proposal for a Council decision will now be sent to the EU member states. They may, acting by a majority of four fifths, determine the existence of a clear risk of a serious breach of the EU values in Hungary. The Council would first have to hear the views of the Hungarian authorities, and Parliament would need to give consent. The EU member states may also choose to address recommendations to Hungary to counter the risk.

At a later stage, the European Council may determine, by unanimity and with the Parliament's consent, the existence in Hungary of a serious and persistent breach of the rule of law, democracy and fundamental rights. This could eventually lead to sanctions, such as the suspension of the voting rights in the Council.

Things are really really heating up now.

Russia and Hungary, might be going to war against Ukraine, and England aint happy at all about this

History is very much repeating itself in so many ways, only this time, Russia is with Hungary.

It is completely and utterly astonishing how media here totally bubble us and dont inform us at all of such massive stories.
There is genuine and real concern we are about to go to world war 3.

Russia wants to bomb England.

Russia is with Hungary? It's the other way around.

Hungary is in Putin's pocket. Orban owes Putin everything. He has become a Putin puppet, with sweet gas deals, multibillion-dollar loans, strategic investments and covert support for violent far-right hate groups. One day Orban's accounts will be seen, and his corruption exposed.

Orban is being used by Putin, he is Putin's voice in the EU.

András Schiff

Schiff has made public statements about politics in Austria and Hungary. He has also become an outspoken critic of the Hungarian government of Viktor Orbán, whom he has publicly accused of racism, anti-Semitism, and neo-fascism, stating in January 2012 that he would never again set foot in his native country.[15]

Austria

In 2000, he commented on the rise of the far right in Austria.[16] He subsequently gave up his Austrian citizenship and took British citizenship in 2001.[17]

Hungary

On 1 January 2011, Schiff published a letter in the Washington Post questioning whether "Hungary is ready and worthy to take on" the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, as it did that day,[18] because of "racism, discrimination against the Roma, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, chauvinism and reactionary nationalism," and "the latest media laws" (referring to new media laws passed at the end of December 2010[19] by the government of Viktor Orbán).

On 16 January 2011, Schiff told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that he had become "persona non grata" in Hungary and would probably never perform there again "or even visit." On 17 January he joined Hungarian conductor Ádám Fischer and six other Hungarian intellectuals and artists in publishing an open letter "To the artists of Europe and the World" protesting "racism against Roma, with homophobia and with antisemitism" and saying that "the freedom of the media, of the arts and artists, and of those who could most effectively act against such tendencies is more and more curtailed." The letter appeared in German and in English,[20] with a note of support from Daniel Barenboim appended. As a result of his statements, he came under attack from Hungarian nationalists.[citation needed]

On 14 January 2012, in an interview with the German newspaper Der Tagesspiegel, Schiff expressed his deep worries about right-wing radical gangs terrorising Roma, open antisemitism, and the very conservative chauvinism and nationalism of the ruling Fidesz party in Hungary lately. Since to his impression “antisemitic baiting has become socially acceptable in Hungary”, and he had been decried as Saujude on Internet, he had cancelled all his concerts in Hungary, he said.[15] In December 2012, he said to the website of Yle Uutiset (Finnish television) that he will remain in self-imposed exile from Hungary.[21]

In December 2013, Schiff told an interviewer from the BBC that he had received anonymous threats through the internet, stating that "If I return to Hungary, they will cut off both of my hands. I don't want to risk physical and mental assault." In addition, wrote the interviewer, "Even without that threat, Schiff says he would find it difficult to play in Hungary. Art and politics cannot be disentangled. The audience matters to performers. 'We are not naïve,' he says."[17]
