Good to see the same old stuff going on...& on...& on ! Federer, Nadal, Dokovic progress - as do the Williams brothers - Kyrgios disgraces himself again (just setting himself up for losing against Federer in Rd 3) - & Sam Stosur getting booted early as usual. Deary me !

The game needs a shake up. Force Federer et al (Nadal, Dokovik, Murray) onto the geriatrics circuit - otherwise they will still be top 4 in 20 years time for Christ sake. They may be all great players - just bloody boring - & Nadal has too many dirty habits as well. Add the Williams brothers - the larger one will still be world champion when he's 100. Not good for the game imo !

They'll have to make up another gender class for the larger Williams brother, like we don't have enough genders already in this PC crazed world.

You've been too active of late Second Chance. Easy to tell - no bugger logs on anymore. I'm not surprised you wandered into this thread though - the word "Boredom" is right up your ally. Get back under that grey blanket please

Exactly Miami - & based on what I saw today the "mattress" test would struggle if he were to jump up & down on it now !

I preferred the old way of doing things where top players ran out of puff at around 30 and new stars emerged at 19.

What's so bad about appreciating/witnessing greatness? It's a pleasure to watch them go about their business.

So l suppose with your logic, you also want Winx to retire as it's boring? That's the same thing isn't it?

Once Fed and Nadal finish up (believe me, it's going to happen sooner rather than later) tennis will be far, far worse off for it. None of these young 'stars' are fit to lace Fed or Rafa's boots.

Also, you might want to brush up on your tennis knowledge. Murray has just recently returned from a whole year off the tour. He'll find it very tough to reach the same heights he was previously at.

If Winx was still on top in 20 years you betcha I'd be sick of the sight of her.

Roger beaten at $1.03 by our very own John Millman.

Does that cure your boredom?

Saw his winning shot and his reaction on the news today - surely he's not an Australian tennis player?

Dignified, humble, and sportsmanlike in victory?Confused

We haven't seen that for a while, might even watch him next round!

Millman's sister asked how John will go against Djokovic:

Last time he played him Novak killed him.

I thought Serena could have pulled a plough and still won .

She has never recovered from taking things seriously ,   That were poked at her in fun.

Bye Bye ,     Time to retire .

I wish McEnroe had been commentating on the women's final.

Don't recall McEnroe ever cheating - bad temper, sook, but not a cheat.

Serena - "You owe me an apology, I never cheat ..."

Serena's coach - "We cheated ..."

Embarrassed

Who would watch tennis! ... worse, WOMEN'S TENNIS, even worse WITHOUT SHARAPOVA!!!Dead

Both could have been right. He was signalling but no evidence she saw it.

Was a deluxe blowup nevertheless. Shocked

Well is it cheating if they all do it ?
McEnroe was certainly a cheat, or was it just coincidence that his blow ups were always when he was losing, good tactic that, disrupt things and hope the opponent loses his concentration and composure.
Was a great moment when the whining, sneering POS was turfed out of the Oz Open

Serena not a woman, I did not know medical science had enabled men to have babies, are you lying again Doc ?

What sort of idiot signals to someone who’s not looking at them?

And in her defence, didn’t she go straight to the jokers coach does it all the time, and the umpires let him get away with it.....
