Retired, assume he went wrong again. Hope they found him a good home, with Hancox I would assume yes.

No starts since his very welcome win, and now in the paddock.  Can only hope he pulled up ok.

Well said Shawy! Having been a fan of this horse since his first start, it’s great to see the patience of his connections rewarded with a win yesterday.  It might not have been a Derby but I’m sure there’s a great sense of satisfaction getting him back to the winners circle.

Back to the races tomorrow in R7 at Sandown over 1400m.

Would be great to see him gradually get into form & win something this campaign, given the owners have been so patient in getting him back to the track.

He hasn’t let down once this prep
I think he has still has underlying pain from his extensive injuries
Should be retired before he breaks down imo

From the Wed blog:

Absolutely appalling ride but still very disappointing.  Didn't like the way he got his head up in the straight.

I thought it was a serviceable effort for a horse having only his 3rd start back after a long spell. Getting fitter & ran on well.

I heard that Robbie’s plan is to next go to the William Newton Hcp 2600m at Flemington on Anzac Day and then the Andrew Ramsden Stks 2800m next month.

Ran home well but it seems he’ll never climb to the heights hoped for

Improved sharply at his 2nd back, hopefully that continues 3rd up.

He’s a 2nd emergency for a 2100m BM78 at Sandown on Wednesday.

Was only out there today for a look around after such a long enforced break, however thought he was entitled to go just a bit better.  Hope he pulls up ok.

Finally returns to the track today at Geelong in the St Patrick’s Cup over 1400m.

Interesting to see where they head with him this prep.

Missing from nominations this weekend too. Thought he might have been entered for the Galilee Stks at Caulfield.

Anyone have any news on him?

Hasn't accepted anywhere Saturday.  So either planning to go into the Derby without another run or alternatively might have had a setback.  That or now targeting the SA Derby.

Possibly heading towards a 2400m BM64 on the 27th or more likely a $135k 3yo race over 2200m at Bendigo on the 30th.

True, he could go to the AJC Derby. If he didn’t measure up, then head home for the VRC St Leger.

I notice he’s also entered for the Sydney Cup.

But either way, love to see a well bred Fiorente colt winning big races 👍

Again, He should not have the option to dodge the race and still aim at a "group 1" elsewhere.

It would not be easy and neither should it be but he is a great chance in the ATC Derby. The Autumn Sun ( doubtful ), Extra Brut and Global Exchange would be his only competition.

There is no reason why he could not drop back in grade and run in those races should he fail to deliver.

I couldn’t see him running a place in an AJC Derby.

Much better placed if he went to the Galilee Stks at Caulfield over 2400m & if he runs well there onto the VRC St Leger 2800m & the SA Derby 2500m.
