Dont laugh this is a serious question.

Who has been the weakest Melbourne Cup winner? You'd think that whiever that winner is would beat this field in the G3 Queens Cup at 3200m which probably says a lot about the field.
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

Get Makybe Diva out of the paddock and run her on satirday.
She’ll beat this lot.

Been re named to The Queens Cup

Not renamed, it'll be the Queensland Cup next year.  The Queens Cup is a rotating event for stayers.  Think the Duke Of Norfolk was the Queens Cup a few years ago. Was in Adelaide too recently (The Lord Reims maybe?)

Quite right.

Millers Guide says the Queens Cup was first run in 1927 at Flemington and won by Spear Maiden and has been held by a different club in a different state each year since.

It is the race that Phar Lap won at Morphettville in 1930 (as the King's Cup).

and the race in Sydney that gets the Queens Cup moniker when it rolls through NSW is the race Plot Twist defended his crown in about a month ago.

This is a dead set lottery, and not the good knd, the kind where condemned men draw straws to see who goes first.

If the track is soft 5 or worse then surely Plot twist can win again!

Really looking forward to this race.

Can Kiwi raider MEGABLAST continue his great form on a firmer track over 2 miles?

DOUKHAN has run well in 3 x 3200m races this prep, can he finally jag a 2 mile feature?

How will POP’N’SCOTCH go in his 5th attempt at this race, having been place in all 4 previous goes?

Or can last years runner up MY DIAMANTINE (my each way tip) go one better in 2018?

Gee I love a 2 mile race

I’ve had a nibble at the $101/$26 for Skulduggery that was on offer the other day.
Only a few dollars

I hear Du Plessis is now staying in Queensland, Prince, so he could be the guy who benefits from Lloyd's retirement. He is in form and Skulduggery is not the worst in this race.

Surely the Plot Twist 2 mile form is superior to all but the favourite.

The good track, weight and odds on make Megablast a lay for me.

Anton En Avant has surprised even me this prep, in great form taking on better class - only needs to get the trip to be a real chance.

Doukhan, My Diamantine and Pop 'n' Scotch will all run the trip out ... but maybe just not fast enough to threaten a win.
In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!
