Hello,
when I checked the peds of the Winners and placed Horses in the 'Classic English Races' for 3 year olds.

I see the Germanbreeding had one more winner! Billesdon Brook (by Champs Elysees-coplow by Manduro) is from the German damline of 'Anna Paola'. This is the Family of Helmet/Epaulette and filly and Sire share the third dam. Billesdon Brook won the race at enormous outsider Odds, the German equivalent was 670:10, i.e. if you punt 10 Euros on her win, you have got 670 euro as payout. Lucky punter, who did it!LOL The racing paper Report pointed out, it were the highest odds in the history of the 1000 Guineas, a race run more than 200 Years.

Masar (by New Approach-Khawlah by Cape Cross) 3rd placed in the 2000 Guineas, belongs to
the  German Alveole Family via her most famous descent Allegretta and he is inbred to her 3x4 +
3x4 Ahoonora.

regards, Ticino

Our 1-o line of Savabeel and Pinot comes from a German import White and Blue breed way back in 1876.  So Australian and New Zealand probably have more to do with the line now than Germany.  But still interesting.  This is a line which can produce anything from a two year old sprint to a Derby or Oaks winner.

Also of interest we have a freshman stallion called National Defense who will stand in Victoria at Sun Stud this year. He also descends from the Anna Paola female line.
He was a Group 1 winner in France and looks an interesting prospect being by Invincible Spirit.

Masar is bred 3x4 Urban Sea and /or 4x5 Allegretta. Sorry
