Big night ahead for Liverpool, 2nd leg return match against Roma at Olimpico stadium Italy, Liverpool big winners first leg at Anfield 5-2 but they must score an away goal to put it to bed imo, love the round ball game and am an unabashed Liverpool fan , they have a few out with injuries but have a strong squad to fall back on, hopefully of to Kiev for the big final against Real Madrid , a must win, Good Luck fellas.

I'm currently in Kyiv and the city is starting to get primed for this event - Champions League Cup Final.

If Liverpool don't get into the final after being up 5-0 it will go down as being a bigger choke than PSG against Barcelona last season.

A Liverpool - Real final in Kyiv would be absolutely super!

Nervy finish but a great effort, they have made it while some great teams fell by the wayside, this team Roma blew Barcelona off the paddock so they were no easy beats,
a wonderfull night to come on the 26th May in Kiev, well done you mighty Reds.

Big preparations here in Ukraine for the ECLeague Final.
It will be interesting how Ukrainian security keeps the calm against a set of vibrant fans.
At least 40 Charter Jets are planned to fly in for the big show.

But today we have the Europa Cup Final between Olimpique de Marseilles against Atletico Madrid.

Kickoff 4.45 AEST right? I hate pre-game blather especially if it means getting out of bed earlier than necessary.

That's the time I've got Tlaz, make a hot chocolate, sit back and enjoy the game , don't underestimate Liverpool, they will put pressure on from the start and shock a few.

Underestimate them? Aren't they the favourite? I expect Liverpool to win.

Without seeing or reading anything about this game I will ask , why would they be favourite?

Nothing like sport to lift you to the heavens or drop you on your arse, I feel for the goalkeeper but pressure or inexperience in the big league can get to you, they have qualified for next year ( hope I'm around lol) , they will buy in summer , GL for the future.

The match was marred by a gamechanger when Salah was injured in what I saw a blatant attempt by Sergio Ramos to get him out of the game. He physically held on to the arm in such a manner that when he rolled over he added more weight onto Salah's impact. It was a "professional" foul.

Liverpool were gone then.

The psychological impact was on the whole team and filtering all the way down to the 'keeper.

The "Real" question is - How can RM get rid of Gareth Bale after this performance? Played sub for 30 mins, scored 2 goals, one which will forever be seen an all time CLeague best and became "Man of the Match". Now a legend!

A very good post Brudder and you have summed it up well, I agree with the Salah incident, a professional foul if ever I saw one and it happened right under the refs nose, a red card it should have been , Bale's goal was freakish , I have watched him for ten years and when he came he turned the game on its head, Salah was badly missed, dislocated shoulder likely.

That severely effects my rating of Egypt at the world cup.

Uruguay are the favs in their group, but without Salah they will do it tough against Saudi Arabia and the hosts.
