Does Jye have some sort of connection with his connections I have issue with his booking but it is a strange one.

No my comment his him going to the Ajax.

12 starts yet to go beyond 1600m.

He won't win the Ajax so if that's necessary to get a Doncaster run he won't be starting in Doncaster.

I'm surprised they aren't getting him out to 2000m next start, either the Sky High this week or even the Ranvet next week, the 2000m then back to the Doncaster is a formula that has worked previously. Surely they're going to get him out beyond 2000m eventually?

He will only have two more starts this prep so if they do not make the Doncaster, maybe they will run him at 2000m in either the Queen Elizabeth, or the JRA Cup, which Hayes has used before to blood horses who have not had many starts, for a big spring.

I think he would be a worthy runner in the Doncaster, so if he misses out it would detract from the field!

He has had heaps of racing.

If he was trained properly by a Japanese trainer he'd be on everybodies lips as the best horse on the planet.

djebel will be happy with what I’m about to say here- looking for further. Got away with it because he was better than them but if he pulls up well I’d consider the Ranvet over the Doncaster.

You could be right Judge. And even Djebel too.  Tongue

More like a 1700m race today, and with a run in between would love to see him front up in the QE.

ps great to see Jye McNeil in the Group winners circle.

Agree on all fronts.
Although disappointing for Benny Allen who has done a lot of work on this horse to miss out due to suspension.

Probably right and he’ll be a chance if they clap the speed on. Though looking at the market for the Ranvet it looks...well, non-intimidating.

Any idea why Jye got the ride ?

I assume he has an association with either the owner or Dean Lester ?

B Allen is out until April 12 so he won’t be riding in the Doncaster
Unsure if Jye can ride that low.
