Who do they expect to take Blake Ferguson's position? Surely the plan is not to replace him with Morris.

Talk about protected, Cameron Munster is let off with a fine for kicking Joseph Manu in the head and gets an Australian jumper as consolation for his fine, after Saint Billy gets his shoulder charge ban overturned.

Was nothing in the kick, frustration, and constant niggle in the game Ie a certain Melbourne centre pushed into an advertising barrier Two spear tackles warranty a penalty as they should be totally rubbed out before another serious neck injury occurs.

If you see the wide angle replay initial contact is the players shoulder, at no point does the boot contact his head lower area the socked area of his ankle contacts after and with minimal force. The Chicky player will no doubt help him at the hearing.

Possibly the tackling in mid air of an attacking player needs a better and a more refined definition to protect players from being put in a very dangerous position, sometimes the descrision of the on field referee should override a black and white rule.
Can't remember which attacking player it was that was tackled mid air. All players feet must be grounded, otherwise a player can't protect oneself I was knocked out due to a tackle whilst in the air, resulting in severe concussion and a compound finger fracture not fun throwing up after the game either , needs to be addressed before next season IMHO. |

how long have the cheating storm been getting away with it - how about billy's fake collision when the field goal was on. Stuff like that should be penalised

And that Melbourne centre threw the ball into his opponents head which is illegal and an instant penalty. But no penalty given. And he is the dirtiest player in rugby league (Will Chambers), but Kaufusi is after the title. Elbows to the head on a dozen occasions in tackles. Not once penalised. Except when JWH gave him one back. Holding down in the tackle penalties went against the Roosters. But it was the Storm player who did most of the holding down in tackle. The NRL may be now run by those loyal to the old Super League but do the referees have to follow suit? Cameron Smith and Billy Slater are both on the protected species list with the referees. On Slater, he played like a scared little school boy. Laying down before being tackled in a grand final. What a tart. Tedesco (the best fullback in the game) outpointed him no end. Best team one despite the referees.

Wonder how Mitchell Pearce feels ? The bloke they replaced him with played the whole game with one arm & still got them over the line.

I doubt Mitchell Pearce is too concerned. He did win a premiership with them a few years ago.
I doubt he was their real issue.

Also think Storms game plan went off the rails early. Convinced they had a plan to target Cronk early. Resulted in some more focused on Cronk than catching / moving the ball in usual Storm like fashion. Also both storm wingers got hammered taking the ball up - lost more ground than they made. Boofy forwards job early in a match - those two should only have got involved later when big fellows got a bit tired

One of the major disappointments was Sam Kasiano this year. I know he had injury issues mid-season - however he has never really hit his straps since moving there. I rated him right up there as a game changer coming off the bench for the doggies. Not sure the massive weight loss / fitness progam when joining the Storm actually did him any favours. Put the beef back on Sam

I watched the last 5 minutes of the game, which was enjoyable, since I didn't have to watch Easts win the game (apparently they did that in the first half), and I still got to see the Melbourne Fraud lose the GF! Then i got to see Billy Slater hand over the "kicking" duties to another up and coming Fraud Grub in Cameron Munster - why wasn't he sent off? - why wasn't he suspended? Can't wait for the kiddies to kick one another in the head when they get back to school! Sorry the game is fcuked. PS: if you have not seen he movie "Tag" ... don't bother!

He has the trifecta, Ex Melbourne Storm, current Souffs, and a fake Queenslander. Even if it was found he wasn't even born in Queensland it wouldn't bother them, why should a little drink driving and speeding. His prior drinking and domestic violence charges didn't. Does this mean he is off the wagon and needs to go back to rehab? Will he miss captaining Australia? Doubt it. Protected species.

I feel dirty agreeing with you again ... he shouldn't even be in the squad based on form. Was it you who said that Keary would be the difference when he returned?

Wow! ... now all they need to do is suspend cowardley players for kicking and shoulder charges and they might regain a flicker of credibility ...

Even though he's a Rooter, Cordner should have the job for as long as he wants it - he is a leader.

NRL Footy Show axed by Channel Nine due to poor ratings after 25 years on airUpdated about 2 hours ago In a move that is hardly surprising, Channel Nine has decided to pull the plug on the NRL Footy Show after 25 years on air. The program, which debuted in its Thursday night timeslot in 1994, had been struggling in the ratings this year after a revamp of its panel saw Erin Molan replace long-time frontman Paul "Fatty" Vautin as host. "It's been an incredible ride for The Footy Show," Nine's director of sport Tom Malone said in a statement. "A quarter of a century of laughs, controversy and first-class footy analysis … Fatty holds the record for the longest serving host of any prime time Australian TV show — a tribute to both his understanding of the game, his authenticity, and not to mention his incredible comedic timing." more... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-10-02/channel-nine-axe-nrl-footy-show/10328922 |

Footy show was a dead man walking when they fired Matty Johns, he was the only reason I used to watch it.
