I'm still inclined to have the bunnies in the top 3 , Melbourne ...Billy S. very suspect to see out the season imo, all depends on Cam where they get to , without him ....gone.

Does that Regan mustache fellow ever make a bust or pass the ball? I saw a clip of his highlights last night and all it showed was a bloke running full bore into the opposing forwards and getting tackled quickly.

How do we know the Panthers lost badly? Oneone pretending he didn't watch...or at least after the first half. It was painful to watch much more. |

I was looking at his highlight reel as the experts discussed him- presumably it showed his best bits.

The Kronk presence is starting to take effect.

They are getting it together maxie, but Penrith were hopeless last night, with only 33% possession.
Jury is out on that effort from both sides. Good news for the Roosters is that Mitchell is fine.

That is wonderful news PT ... I felt sick , One of the most dangerous neck injuries I've seen. I was so pleased to see his limbs moving quickly, Shows how a complete accident can cripple someone . The muscular tissue damage would be big ... He won't play for a few weeks I would imagine . Lucky Boy. |

He posted on Instagram today maxie. He said he would have a stiff neck for a couple of days but otherwise all good. It was sickening to watch his neck folding under his body. Looked really bad.

The only player missing from the team that scored a 22-12 win over Queensland in the series opener at the MCG on June 6 is Reagan Campbell-Gillard. The Panthers prop suffered a broken jaw in Friday night's match against the Sydney Roosters. NSW centre Latrell Mitchell will need to prove his fitness after suffering a neck injury on Friday night, while the remainder of the squad will also need to prove they got through their weekend matches in the Telstra Premiership unscathed. Nick Cotric - who was the 18th man for the Blues in game one - has been left out of the squad for game two. NSW squad: Josh Addo-Carr, Nathan Cleary, Damien Cook, Boyd Cordner, Angus Crichton, Jack De Belin, Tyson Frizell, Ryan James, Luke Keary, David Klemmer, James Maloney, Latrell Mitchell, Tyrone Peachey, Matt Prior, James Roberts, Tariq Sims, James Tedesco, Jake Trbojevic, Tom Trbojevic, Paul Vaughan. |

Mitchell should not be allowed to play .. He is very good but surely his health is more important.
A lot depends on Slater of course and hopefully Qld drop that centre that cost them dearly . Still an interesting encounter. Whatever. |

The changes or additions suggest that he isn't in great doubt maxie. Two forwards for Campbell-Gillard(Freddie couldn't decide which he wanted so took both) and a five eighth brought in.The way Moloney was hobbling about on Friday night it looked like he had his hip spasms back, or whatever it was that plagued him in that region at the Roosters. Freddie would be well aware of his past issues. Doesn't look promising for him with Keary brought in immediately.

Maloney has been showing leg problems for some time . I may be over reacting re that neck injury but chit it looked a bad one to me . Scans aren't always 100% and no way would I be letting him on the park for 3 weeks at least. It would have to affect his game anyway. |

I wouldn't be playing him for his own welfare, and for liability reasons, but 21yos are bullet proof, just ask em.

Maroons selectors have kept their nerve with the inclusion of 20-year-old prodigy Kalyn Ponga on the bench Origin II to be played in Sydney this Sunday the only change to the Queensland side originally selected for Origin I. Queensland prop Dylan Napa will be given until Wednesday to prove his fitness with Melbourne's Tim Glasby on standby to come straight into the 17. If Napa plays, Bill Slater's return at fullback for Michael Morgan, who has suffered a season-ending bicep injury, and Ponga replacing Anthony Milford on the interchange bench will be the only changes to the side beaten 22-12 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in game one. < id="google_ads__78756360rl.web/article_0" title="3rd party ad " name="google_ads__78756360rl.web/article_0" width="970" height="250" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" border="0" style="-sizing: border-; border-width: 0px; border-style: initial; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: bottom;"> Coach Kevin Walters said he had no concerns over Slater recovering fully from his hamstring injury and playing his 30th game for Queensland, claiming the Test fullback could have played for the Storm on Sunday. Ponga, the most brilliant player on rugby league's horizon who will play State of Origin after just 24 NRL appearances, will be the least experienced Maroons player since Brent Tate made his debut in 2002 after just a handful of games for Brisbane Broncos. "He's a been a standout in the competition," Walters said of Ponga. "I think everyone's seen how good he's been for the Newcastle Knights. He's got the potential to be a long-term player for Queensland and I think he has earnt the right to put on a Maroons jumper. "It's time for him to show what he can do, without putting too much pressure on him. "For Kalyn it's a great opportunity for him. We're very grateful for having him in the side this time around and we expect him to do his job for Queensland on Sunday." Walters and selectors Gene Miles and Darren Lockyer have stuck by the pack that was dominated by the Blues big men for much of the match in Melbourne, particularly prop Jarrod Wallace who was under pressure after a below-par performance in attack in game one. They will miss Napa's aggression if he succumbs to an ankle injury suffered on the weekend, even though he was disappointing in the opening Origin clash. If he misses, Walters is likely to move Josh Papalii into the starting front row, with Josh McGuire moving up from lock and Jai Arrow starting at No.13 the other most likely option. Either way, Glasby would come off the bench. Maroons squad (in likely starting order): Billy Slater, Valentine Holmes, Greg Inglis (capt), Will Chambers, Dane Gagai, Cameron Munster, Ben Hunt, Jarrod Wallace, Andrew McCullough, Dylan Napa, Gavin Cooper, Felise Kaufusi, Josh McGuire. Interchange: Kalyn Ponga, Josh Papalii, Coen Hess, Jai Arrow. Tim Glasby (18th man).\ |

Roosters are making their move.. If it was the cup they would be tracking into it under a vice like grip, just depends if there is more to give once the whips are cracking

IT’S OFFICIAL – Robbie Farah will finish his stellar career where it started at the Wests Tigers. South Sydney will release Farah today, opening the door for the veteran hooker to sign with the Tigers for the remainder of 2018. It’s understood the Tigers will announce Farah’s signing later today. It follows two weeks of private conversations between Farah and Tigers coach Ivan Cleary about joining the joint-venture club before the June 30 transfer deadline. These conversations have prompted Tigers players to contact Farah about returning to the club. Farah’s manager Sam Ayoub told The Daily Telegraph he is expecting the deal to be finalised today. |

What a fantastic game the Ladies State of Origin.
Everything of high standard , tough game , good referee and top entertainment. Over 6000 at the ground and I'd say a massive TV audience. Very Good and will be much bigger in future years. |

Watched a bit of it macca, and must agree ... that indigenous 5/8th for NSW could play!
I was reminiscing seeing The Bob Stand full of fans - standing room only when I was there watching the 1975 Grand Final. So we are 2-0 in the SOO now - cant lose from here!

In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

Well I thought it was ordinary. The skill level seemed to be a long way down compared to their Rugby compatriots. A good game of schoolboy football would have been much more enjoyable (& skilful). Also noted the over representation of indigenous girls - wonder why that would be ?
Yep - the butch driven "everything re gender must be equal" gals must be happy with these sort of outcomes. Throw in a bit of UFC fighting, front line force activity & take away all the little things men used to like doing for women (like opening a door) & we have come a long way as a society. By the way, do men play netball (maybe they do & they keep it in the closet) ? Finally - if the girls want to be equal they could at least play ensure they play the same amount of time. 30 minute halves just don't cut it ! Boo, hiss

& girls there is nothing more unappealing than for a fellow having to watch a female shot putt competition. Take the tip ! Not sure the average women sees it any better either !
