He'll probably have the Cup winner.

Through no good work of their own other than $$$ and weight of horses he buys.

No I respect Loyld and his vast experience in the industry. But I'm sure he would be seething watching that mess of a race

It wasn’t a good look.
The young kid buggered it up big time.

BASS, watched the replay of this dromedary' performence at Sandown yesterday, ( the replays of Liverpools win took prominence lol) imo the jock done very little wrong and he's been hung out to dry , bad horses can make jockeys look bad and this heavy headed camel with a choppy knee action pulling his head off sitting third on the fence had nothing left when the pressure went on and compounded beaten 10 lengths in a bm 70, previous form in Ireland was shocking , stablemate bled internally, beaten 17 , trap for players o/s horses , not for mine fwiw.

He’s not the right rider if you want to take a sit, whoever did the jockey booking made an error, and whoever had him so fresh for the trip, also made an error.

With due respect linghi11, the "error" was bringing him here.

I’m sure he could win a few nice races if he were trained by people with an idea. They’re churning out awfully presented and half broken down horses all over the place.

Maybe I was being harsh on the kid.

Lesson learned though, not backing Lloyd runners again.

I wonder if Master of Reality will be in the mix for Lloyd for the 2019 Melb Cup.

Thought he did a good job toughing it out for 3rd behind Stradivarius in the Ascot Gold Cup last night.

He does have J.Vermeer, Homesman & Yucatan to lead the Cups asssult for 2019. But a few of his other recent imports have either been duds or have simply gone missing.

Nick was interviewed on tuesday before the Gold Cup and it appeared pretty obvious he was going to come to Aus. Said MOR will get a winnable weight, is the perfect type and all "the crew", such as Gudinski etc... travelled to Ascot for the race.

That 3rd placing should rocket Master Of Reality right up to the top of the weights. Technology he should get more weight than Cross Counter.

He won't get a big weight. Was allocated 50kgs last year, before pulling the pin. 5 runs since, for only 1 win. Started 66-1 in the Gold Cup, set weight race.

Trip to Paris was allocated 55kgs off a Ascot Gold Cup win, Goodwood Cup placing and substantially more prizemoney. I'd estimate 52.5kgs or thereabouts...

You’d think Yucatan will be in the mix again in 2019.

I also notice Lloyd has Latrobe running in the Curragh Cup 2800m (G2) tonight in Ireland. You’d think if he ran well there that he’d also come back to Aust for the Spring.

Really nobody should be coming up with a weight until you know the entries.

Buckhurst (3c  by Australia - Artful, by Green Desert) just won the Gp3 International Stakes at the Curragh over 10 furlongs.
