This is the write up for SIRKOS

Sirkos is a 6yo German bred gelding by MONSUN. He has had 6 career starts for 2 wins and 1 third. His victories were both at Deauville, France in 2016. He has only had two starts in Australia, but he is bred to get over ground being out of a stakes winner over 2100m.

Plenty of racing upside with this horse, he just is not up to the grade for this stable.

Accepted to run at Sandown on April 22 (1800m).

Offered unreserved.

Available for inspection at Macedon Lodge by appointment. Phone 03 9693 1900

Current bid $5,000
Closes Wednesday

Does the stable have any locals anymore? Used to pick up the odd Reset (eg Fawkner) but can’t think of one lately.

Spotter - as in someone to spot horses overseas for him to buy. Nothing sinister

All 3 of these horses were withdrawn from the sale. Not sure if they were sold privately or whether Lloyd just changed his mind on a whim.

Anyway the stable has got 2 in the William Newton Hcp at Flemington today - BASS & BELGRAVIA.

Interestingly both ran in the 2017 Queens Vase won by STRADIVARIUS - where Belgravia ran 4th beaten only 2.5 Len. Bass ran 12th beaten 29 Len.

Today at Flem, Bass @ 5/4f & Belgravia @ 15/1

The first race at Flemington is evidence of how stupid the handicapper is down there.

On the ratings displyed neither Williams horse should be any chance in that race.

I’d say they were withdrawn because the bids weren’t high enough, despite being offered unreserved.

Sale ended on Wednesday, all three Williams lots were withdrawn.
But they are always open to offers/private negotiations on all their horses.

Belgravia Near the 500 metres sustained a serious racing injury and dislodged rider Lachlan King. Belgravia was humanely euthanized. This incident will be referred to the Equine Welfare and Veterinary Department.

I’ve just had a look at his recent runners.
A couple of them have changed stables:

Midterm - now with M&L Cerchi (Flemington)
Venezuela- now with Ms K Waugh (Wyong)

Cleaning house.. Lloyd and his son certainly aren’t training them well at all over the last couple of years. Almandin was their pride and joy as they aimed him as their product... since then all the wins and successes have been Aidens horses they just acquired. They will now do the same for this cup

I know it’s easy to say now, but I noticed Belgravia looked off in his action at his Bendigo start a few runs ago. The stable seems to struggle to keep horses sound these days.

A number hadn't raced for a couple of years therein lies the problem imo, time can heal but not cure.

I wonder how Lloyds' legal proceedings against B/rat Vet. Practice went or is going Confused
That was a few years ago now but was clearly trying to prop up unsound  ones back then.

Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!

Definitely not bought by Aus Bldstk Djebel! Has gone to Cerchi stable and will probably race in the same interests as Tanby when he went to the Cerchi stable.

Dialectic - one that he tried to sell a couple of weeks ago did a tendon yesterday at Bendigo.

Dialectic (IRE) After being caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 1500m. On pulling up rider Michael Dee dismounted from the gelding as he felt there was something amiss with the geldings action. A post race veterinary examination revealed a tendon injury to its right foreleg. Trainer Liam Howley was notified that prior to racing again he must be in receipt of a veterinary certificate of soundness.
