Was a B/C grader in Europe but good enough to today in the Zipping Classic. Probably good enough to win a few Group 1s in Australia.
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

Probably high level B grader, by no stretch was he a poor horse.

I read an article that had an update on Lloyd’s spring contenders, mentioning that Rekindling & Johannes Vermeer are out of the main part of the Spring, so he’d have to rely on old Almandin plus a few new Galileo recruits.

But the article made no mention The Taj Mahal?   Anyone have any news on him?

He will need a lot of luck.

Like Best Of Days last week at Randwick he is easily the best horse in the race but well short of his trip. Gate 1 is not going to help.
