It looks like the old girl had complications post foaling the Danerich in '16.
Was she ever in a Hancox syndication or it there another? Mum was in a Simulation, mare & Hancox but I reckon it may've been 20 odd years prior Confused

What do you suggest master trainer? Do you have any understanding of the post race recovery rate or physiology of a horse?

Do not kid yourself into believing that is why he is on that campaign.

These "master trainers" all do the same thing.

you've made this point a few times, and I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.
Do you see an issue with this, or just an observation that they plan these campaigns on auto pilot?
It's not meant as a criticism in any way, it's a genuine question.

Djebel, correct me if I'm wrong, thinks the way we campaign our horses is silly. In Europe they spread races over a season so that horses are generally kept at their preferred distance range, rather than the staggered approach of our carnivals that sees a horse like Ace High kicking off in a 1200m race he can't win.

Look at Cliffs Edge's sire, Canford Cliffs- pretty much exclusively run at a mile after his juvenile days, in races spread over a season.

He has a point.

Big run. Three wide on a hot speed and giving the winner 3.5kg. Happy to be on him in the Guineas and confident.

Gate 16 of 18

Grunt drew 17, so could have been worse for Cliffs

Imagine Cliffs jumps straight to the front.

No mucking about.

Grunt will find it difficult.

Not a lot between them allowing for the improvement in the lightly raced Grunt.      Barriers up the pole aye. Might add to the prices,   Grunt has to find 2K   Some good racing on the way.

Because he's going better, has had a better prep for this, and this isn't a 4 horse field at Moonee Valley where she can box seat and sneak up the rail with her turn of foot.

This will likely be pace on first 400 then back right off and brakes go on. Half the field will cop horses in their laps, some horses overracing, and most of the field eager to settle off the speed and get their horse relaxing to ensure they see out a strong mile.

Cliff out of all that scrimmage and doing the racking and stacking before winding up and making it hard for something to catch him. With even luck Grunt can run him down but I'm not sure there's an even chance he gets even luck on what I'm seeing unless they burn him early.

I expect Peaceful State to improve, too bad to be true last time .

Brad can ride a G1 winner out of that mare

Djebel will say she's had the better prep and Weir only needed 2 leadup races cos he can't train.Big smile

Haha very true. I'm not so concerned by one run into it for a horse of her quality and a genuine miler. For me it's more a question of is she fit enough for second up into a G1 mile here - her trial and first up run tell me that's a risk. She has bigger fish to fry in the Sydney autumn and I feel they've been ambitious that she's good enough to beat a horse like Cliffs Edge when underdone here.

Guineas was always on the program but Aloisia's main aim is Sydney. Deane Lester mentioned one particular race but I can't recall which. Vinery then Oaks? She goes well second up but hasn't looked quite there as Sunline said.

Plenty of get back run on horses in this race, might be a boon for on pacers like Cliff's Edge.

The Vinery is her race. She will demolish them in that. Then the Oaks is a risk re whether she stays.

Backed Holy Snow earlier but confidence not there since Price said Grunt is the best of his. Also didn't look at race pace until today. Hope all trainers do and more go forward as a result.
