I would hope the C F Orr would be on their radar and the Futurity.

A lead up in the middle of January keeping him fresh for those two races.

He deserves his shout at that sort of race.

I am hearing Shawy, that he was purposely left a little underdone fresh, because they are looking at Perth.

The fitter he gets the better he will go, so the longer the prep the better.
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

He doesn’t know how to run a bad race.
Such an honest boy, not sure what races they can aim him at to snag a Grp 1.

I doubt he can win a group 1, Perhaps a handicap with a low weight but I do hope he highly utilised when he retires to stud. He is a great looking horse and as honest as they come.

I was not at all happy with him yesterday.

Left the fence to look for a gap. The gap presented where he had been on the fence to the Godolphin horse who wasn't going well enough. Cliff then lost momentum

You are right Max but forget about protecting people from themselves.
Abuse ANYTHING and it is to your detriment.
We can't wipe out industries because some of us fools can't control our addictive personalities.
Some people love attending the sporting fixtures ( Footy etc) , Some love the live plays $ Opera & spend their entertainment dollar there .
Others like a run on the pokies , or an afternoon at the Races or TAB or on the computer having a wager.
Do we ban it all to protect fools.     > I may add , the people you protect will find another destructive method to self destruct.

The stupid Premier Of NSW got his just deserts when he tried to ban an   Industry called Greyhound Racing . ( A wonderful Sport , I loved it ) and YES YES YES ... the Criminal few who involved themselves in shocking , Unnecessary cruelty , HAD TO BE STOPPED .     They have been , some got life some may do gaol time .
These things can be addressed without going over the top .
Like get druggies/ violent drunks off the street ASAP, as they did 50/ 60 years ago.
Ban compulsives from being on licenced premises.
Racing Alone is one of our highest employers.   Will they ban that too.

The true, in depth follower of the gambling path should hold higher qualifications than the so called brains of Society ( Lawyers , Doctors & CO
The gambler ( Racing's Punters especially) should lead a life of daily study that makes the academics look like Altar Boys. ( Most of them wouldn't survive in a " street wise " competitive environment).
A degree = lololol   . Mechanics , Electricians etc. don't qualify, But some deviate style ,pansy who loitered around a University for several years, does.     > Mad world .   They wonder why the "slaves " have gone on strike and queue for the dole.
The most qualified of all is the true gambler , Succeeds with a massive thickness of grey matter that he uses every minute of every day.
Don't jump off bridges fellas.    Push a few of our taxes funded "bright lights off, if you want to do the world a favour ,   THEN re group and take the next step to beating "the books".

Didn’t mean to cause offence, life is tough. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will get through it.

It's very hard to jump off the Westgate these days Shawy. They built these massive railings to stop people from jumping. You can't jump over them in one go and they've made them where you can't cling on to anything. You'll simply slide straight back down. There's no where to place your foot. The only way to do it would probably be to get a leg up from a fellow punter.

But on a serious note, l've been through some dark times on the punt in the last 6 months. I don't know how l'm still here to be honest. I'm sure most people in my situation would have necked themselves by now. I went from one of the biggest punters in the land to being broke. But l'm committed to turning it around and l will. It's only one small chapter and l love a challenge.

I used to be obsessed with money but there's more important things in life guys. Don't let it ruin you.

Good advice ..   Not knowing the circumstances , the temperament etc it is hard to comment but as Gamblers we have all had bad trots ,   AND WILL AGAIN

There has to be a plan and set of rules .     >> The Bank initially .

A bad knock may be all it takes to turn it all around .    We don't only have to work on the selection process and staking .    OUR BRAIN is our biggest risk to success and in most cases the hardest hurdle of all.

Form is simple in hindsight eh? Big money went on him so plenty (not including me) assumed his class would carry him through. We all rely on stables making the correct call. They don't always get it right.

Great sayings ,   Rarely heard these days in Racing :-      Only put your money on horses on the UP.

Would you back your Grandfather in a brawl ? .    Why back 6 Y/O+ Horses.

If in Doubt keep out.
