As I thought he's the great pretender. Not Group 1 class.

Just as well the Everest is not a Group 1

I still think he could blow us away in it, not writing him off yet

Trapeze artist and redzel are proper group 1 horses. Shawy you're having a laugh.

I’m not saying he is going to smash them.
I’m saying I wouldn’t be surprised if he did something ridiculous.
He’s no slouch.

Horse has been up a long time. That race time was about 5L slower than he ran over the same track and distance a couple of weeks ago, but even so all the leaders folded. Needs the paddock.

Trainer and jockey both sound like they are thinking off for a spell, no Everest.

Houtzen a little unlucky not to be placed, cannoned off the fence twice in the straight running out of room , having said that she races well at the valley and will pick up a nice race shortly imo.

Too hot. Needs to learn to come back underneath the rider.

If Weir can get him to relax more, he'll win Group 1's.

With another year under his belt, he will no doubt improve.
I don’t understand all the hate this horse gets. Is it because Smerdon had him?

Off to the paddock after a very successful campaign.
He’s earned $702.000 in 12 starts

Not bad for a horse that has been labelled a joke.

He will need to from a prep point of view, because to run 1200m he will need a full prep to get him to his peak.

If he is scratched Saturday he can not win the Newmarket, which I do not think he can win anyway!
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

Should be in the Lightning (which he’d win). Not much chance of that now, especially as the new trainer has a couple of colts heading there.

It's WFA Judge, it's there for the picking irrespective of stablemates, just my opinion .

Why run in that though when he is a gelding and has the handicaps at this stage at his mercy ?

Gelding or not, what h/caps and distance, the scalpel has nothing to do with what he runs in imo.

The Nature Strip win today , on a track with the edge off ,   was a RIPPER.

Pity he doesn't settle better, early.   He's good.

Splits from the 1000:

10.22
10.19
10.97
11.34
12.55

That’s a 20.41 400m sectional he’s dropped, on a day they weren’t really running time. To the eye and the clock he’s a 1000m horse. Absolute speed freak. If I were the owner and a horse like this somehow doesn’t end up in a Lightning, he’d be onto his fifth trainer.

Already onto trainer 5 (Smerdon Hickmott Sadler Weir and now Waller) but I agree. Should be going to the Lightning.
