Apart from Trapeze Artiest, Nature Strip will not need to be remotely group 1 level to run 2nd in The Everest.

If he has a Group 1 it’s a Galaxy or Oakleigh Plate for mine. Looks a 1000/1100m horse. Moir in the Spring looks a better race than the Everest, unless they can teach him to settle with cover.

That open age race was not listed class, it is a make believe Donald trump fake news listed event!
Do not forget he would carrying the same or a little more weight, he will betaking on proper group 1 horses in Shoals, Santa Ana Lane, Redzel and of course Trapeze Artist. A tick over 1.10.05 was a good run, but he needs to improve to be a top four hope in an everest and if you are a slot holder is that gooe enough for your representative? That is the question you need to ask yourself. |

He's a 3yo who's had three trainers this year and been in work for 8 months, albeit with a let-up mid prep, so has certainly had enough now.
A month let-up to recover and develop just a bit, then probably two runs by the time the Everest is run. Whether he actually measures up to contest the event, let alone perform in the event, remains an unknown just yet imo.

Having a look at the splits he ran a 10.42 from the 1000 to the 800, which was way quicker than he needed to go. Ambled home in 12.67.... If they can harness that speed he might run a strong 1200 but I think he’ll be more effective over the short trip. Very fast horse.
