He is certainly correct that winning casino gamblers are treated like lepers, not given gifts like Steve supposedly was.

He was a poker player. The casino doesn't lose to winning poker players. Everyone pays the house in poker games.

Big difference between a Casino poker player & a Casino Video poker player. This bloke had tumbled down the gambling black hole into almost solely the latter as I understand it. The article is spot on imo. I would love to know his financial health say 5 years back to now. His starting point was not 100's or even tens of millions from what I've seen. I reckon it will be shown his days as the Casino High Roller were nearing an end - & his life as a recluse in a poxy suburban Vegas retirement village environment wasn't that attractive to him. This detail has to come out surely.

It is amazing how little is being updated on this tragedy over the past few weeks. The only thing I've seen is they they wont be renting the room out. Big deal. That security guard has gone missing in action, Paddocks family are not talking, the Casino is not talking, the authorities are not talking - touch odd isn't it ? I really do think further damaging the Vegas image is right up there as to the reason why the whole thing seems to have been "shut down" from public information

Actually he has been covered by all programs but I think his only full interview was on Ellen Degeneris Sounds like he or someone realised the value of his story and maybe held back for the highest bidder?

One suspects that the hotel might get sued over this, and that may explain the paucity of information coming out of there.

The FBI is not interested in the insurance exposure of the hotel. They will conduct a full investigation and will only engage the public for information they require.

One also suspects the lack of "progress reports" of said investigation, feeds the widespread perception that the gubmint is not necessarily on the side of the general public interest. I mean, man-decades of publicly funded investigation, and nuffink to reveal, seemingly. And with respect, PT, you don't know what any police/FBI investigation may be influenced by, consciously, or unconsciously. They are just people, after all. Most of us are long disabused of the notion that "professionalism" precludes considerations other than the strict letter of the law, intruding.

The huge conspiracy industry(pseudo religion) depends on that attitude to succeed and social media and the wealth it creates depends on believers and lack of faith in the deep state.

PT thinks the FBI and CIA are not subject of govt or political influence. they are completely autonomous and incorruptible.
i mean...every police force commisioner in oz is at the whim of its master - the govt they serve. but not the FBI or CIA. brain dead. |

I note the area where all the people were shot, has the same ownership as the hotel the gunfire came from. Not saying that will affect anything, but who knows.

As usual with you, its what you dont say that counts most. you have been a pom pom waver for the FBI here at every step. the buffoons couldnt even get paddocks check in date at mandalay bay right. they were only out by 3 days. yes, they arent obliged to run commentary or dispel any nutter theory doing the rounds on social media. but this massacre has been hung out to dry...and the little the fbi and state depts have said to the media/public has been an incoherent mess. nothing untowards re: the cia or fbi would surprise me. |

Have gun, will shoot. Often enough to cause an inordinate number of deaths, that would otherwise not have happened. The price of the American gun addiction.

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) is the body who researches and collects data on gun crime in the US ''Strangely'' congress keeps cutting their budgets to the point where they dont have the resources to do that properly. Statistics required for legislative assessment comes down to the FBI and local and state law enforcement data.

One of paddocks brothers arrested for child porn. highly likely his family are persons of interest and most are being investigated.
*paddocks laptop was found in his hotel room without its hard drive. who else was in the room that took it? |

Las Vegas shooter's laptop missing its hard drive
A laptop computer recovered from the Las Vegas hotel room where Stephen Paddock launched the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history was missing its hard drive, depriving investigators of a potential key source of information on why he killed and maimed so many people, ABC News has learned. Paddock is believed to have removed the hard drive before fatally shooting himself, and the missing device has not yet been recovered, sources told ABC News. Investigators digging into Paddock’s background also learned he purchased software designed to erase files from a hard drive, but without the hard drive to examine it is impossible to know if he ever used the software, one source said. The absence of substantial digital clues has left investigators struggling to piece together what triggered Paddock to kill 58 innocent concertgoers and injure more than 500 others on Oct. 1. Authorities are examining every aspect of Paddock’s life — from his family, friends and associates to his travel patterns, health and finances. So far, a motive has been elusive to investigators. The frequent gambler, described as a loner, spent months amassing his arsenal, staying under the radar with no one suspecting he would turn to extreme violence. His finances did not appear to be a problem and Paddock had settled any debts he had with casinos shortly before the attack, a source said. Other mass shooters in the United States have left behind writings or manifestos explaining their actions — however deranged those explanations may have been. Paddock, however, left behind no such writings or evidence. He is not the first mass shooter to destroy or hide digital clues. In 2007, Virginia Tech shooter Cho Seung Hui removed the hard drive of his computer and disposed of his cell phone shortly before the massacre. Authorities even searched a pond for the missing digital media, but the devices were never recovered. The 2008 Northern Illinois shooter, Steven Kazmierczak, removed the SIM card from his phone and the hard drive from his laptop, and neither was recovered. In 2012, Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza had removed the hard drive from his computer and smashed it with a hammer or screwdriver. |

How odd, that a bunch of people would remove hard drives from computers, before committing their deadly deeds. That makes little sense, unless they thought they would have use of the computer again. If not, throwing the whole computer away, would seem a more likely course of action..

The hard drive would be easier to dispose of than the whole computer. It suggests he had plans to get out
