God Bless Alizee.     and the mighty Glen of course.

Well done young fella, at the right end of the programme too.

Yep. The Godolphin-owned mare was entered to race at Randwick on Saturday but she was found to have bled from both nostrils following trackwork on Tuesday morning.

Bad news for Godolphin and spring racing. Plenty of rival trainers just had a weight taken off their shoulders.

I've never heard of horses bleeding after trackwork, only after races. Is this a rare event or more common than I had realised?

When you train for this mob you don't drop your guard, once two know it ain't a secret,
remember the O'Shea troubles.

I am talking the wider racing community. I wonder how often trainers report that their charge bled after a training gallop ?

Depends on the bleed type, profuse (nasal) I have known trainers that have reported this,
never made the papers, but knew the rules, small discharge, trainers call,EIPH , only way to go is report it, because the horse will need follow up care , so cover your arse lol.

Now clear favourite for the All Star Mile. Don’t think she can win. Looking at her yesterday I think she has the makings of a top class sprinter, rather than a miler. I know she’s a G1 winner over a mile but in mares grade- think her best might be over shorter, a bit like Shoals.

Think in open company the 1600 Flemington will find her out, though if she has to race Urban Ruler and Call Me Handsome or whoever the Logies winners are...

Like to see her in the TJ.

Her three runs at 1600m.

Won Flight, in a dodgy year.

Third behind Aloisia and Shoals in the 1000 Guineas, when probably over the top.

Won the Queen Of The Turf.

I think your second line says it all, it depends on who is voted in.
