Some very revealing posts by Judge and PT, which beggar the question ...
Would it be an over reach to suggest that a disproportionate number of Judges highly esteemed friends who work in the area of Gender Bending, Mind and Genital Mutilation Counseling Services for Pre Schoolers, may well have been victims themselves, but that their assailants came wearing robes, legitimised by societal blindness, and offering Sherry and silence as inducements. ... or is it best to just blame the church and ignore the current unspeakable crimes that are being enabled by people who work within their own protected, shrouded sect of sickness and silence, excused from scrutiny by their noble quest to "help" the victims of their own sexual confusion ... Well done guys, I think we are getting somewhere!

Not enough emphasis is put on the question that people who choose to live the style of life required to be a Priest , brother , Nun etc , are very likely to be very much in need of Psychiatric assessment, on those grounds alone.
The other side is , For people that way inclined , what a smorgasboard of talent to choose from , AND virtually untouchable for the crime. Be like letting me loose in the midst of the Miss World contestants with an open cheque book . I'd Make Craig Thompson look like a gelding. |

I wonder how many actually pursued the life, because it gave them the opportunity to offend. Hard to say what was going on, as regards motives and intent, and I would not trust the offenders to give an honest account. |

Who said this ... “Schools have a role to stop bullying — but what I won’t have is some theory that comes from a university sociology course doing it. That’s not helping to stop bullying.”

Not so blessed are these cake-makers it seems
Oregon appeals court upholds damages in gay wedding cake caseReuters / (Reuters) - An Oregon state appeals court on Thursday let stand $135,000 in damages levied against the owners of a Portland-area bakery for discrimination after they refused on religious grounds to prepare a wedding cake for a local lesbian couple. A three-judge panel of the Oregon Court of Appeals rejected a petition by Melissa and Aaron Klein, former owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, to overturn the ruling by the state's labor commissioner as a violation of their rights under the U.S. Constitution to freedom of religion and expression. An attorney for the Kleins, who closed their bakery not long after being ordered to pay the heavy fine, could not immediately be reached for comment on Thursday. "Today’s ruling sends a strong signal that Oregon remains open to all," Brad Avakian, the state's labor commissioner, said in a written statement. "Within Oregon’s public accommodations law is the basic principle of human decency that every person, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, has the freedom to fully participate in society," Avakian said. The case stems from Aaron Klein's refusal to bake a wedding cake for Rachel Bowman-Cryer in January 2013 because she was planning a same-sex wedding to her partner Laurel, which he said violated his religious convictions. Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer filed a formal complaint with the state labor bureau, which found they had violated anti-discrimination laws and awarded the damages. The Bowman-Cryers were married in 2014 after a federal judge struck down Oregon’s same-sex marriage ban. The bakery case is one of many disputes nationwide since the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in June 2015 to legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states. Funny the way certain premises nightclubs have doormen/bouncers that can refuse entry/service without further explanation, but other businesses cannot. Sounds discriminatory.

They should have just gone with that Chocolate "Laxette" Mud Cake recipe ... would have been an eventful, if somewhat messy honeymoon night, and put the acid test on their real commitment to the relationship!!! Seriously though, this is just the first stage of "the slippery slope" - the state telling people what they must do, who they must trade with ... ... and the LGBTQI freaks and geeks activists, rather than just engage in business dealings with the thousands of entities who are SSM "friendly", will be out in force, looking to push their agenda, and another pay day, at every opportunity. People should have the right to decide who they trade with, but equally, stupid people who call themselves "business people" and are happy to knock back this kind of lucrative income opportunity, will go bankrupt anyway.

That’s the sort of thing that reflects badly on everyone. To the bakers, you’re not being asked to preside over or solemnise the wedding. Your role is incidental. Bake the cake and take the money already.
To the married couple, find another baker, get over yourselves and stop being so bloody precious. Bonfire of the vanities. |

Couldn't agree more Judge.
Plenty of businesses are "selective" about who they do business with, without drawing screams of discrimination. Don't have to be too smart to find a reason you cant help ... accept the order, and then in a timely manner, politely apologise that you would be unable to meet the order for any number of commercial reasons. It would of course be simpler if people had the same rights as Churches and clergy, and if the Lesbians supported a business that supports their ideals. Lets hope that our legislation is amended to be more expansive, and avoids causing this unnecessary division ... |

I hope our legislators are aware of that (probably hard with their heads collectively up their own bums), as i said earlier, we have the chance to make sure that the mistakes are avoided, and that the laws are not divisive, as they are in a lot of overseas jurisdictions.
