You would have to be a super dummy to break the rules because the rules are designed so that you can drive a B-Triple through them. |

I am still trying to work out what you are trying to say about the greens, surely not showing acute bias against them? Doesn't the article say ''their entitlements''? What does it matter how they spend money they are entitled to?

If you think Parakeelia was above board I have a bridge to sell you. The only reason it didn't get traction was because Labor had their own program targeting voter preferences, but didn't appear to be getting taxpayer money paid into their executive through that company

You still haven't answered what the Greens have done wrong, and, and if nothing, why you are making a deal over them doing nothing wrong

Mirror licking and rear view assessments do not make leaders. Why spend 150K on something entirely useless to leadership especially when a free service is readily available?

Trump to TBV
Giving money and power to The Greens is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed. A Labor Government is big enough to give you everything you want & is strong enough to take everything you have. |

What race is Klepto in PT> Bluddy Dictionary again= Kleptocracy (from Greek κλέπτης kléptēs, "thief", κλέπτω kléptō, "I steal", and -κρατία -kratía from κράτος krátos, "power, rule") is a government with corrupt leaders (kleptocrats) that use their power to exploit the people and natural resources of their own territory in order to extend their personal wealth. Good one , Describes Shortens lot perfectly |

If 3 people are worth more than half the American population, the kleptocracy has long been in force there. If anyone feels inclined to defend that, then I am afraid you are the ultimate dupe and thrall. Do I hear you say, the "politics of envy". Nope, it is the politics of inequity.

You support "inequity", do you, Doc ? Just dwell on the word a while. It means, "lack of equity", too little a share. Nothing could be a clearer example, than 3 individuals owning more than 160 million. I'd wager quite a few of the 160 million think it fair and good, too, and identify with the "3". They are the real enemy, not the "3".

Our society has moved so far from a meritocracy, it ain't funny. The balance badly needs redressing. Can you imagine Gina Hancock without a state that allowed daddy to take to himself, and sit on, vast mineral deposits for decades ? She's Barnaby's very good friend, and would be even if daddy hadn't ceded her a windfall, wouldn't she ? The re-distributive function of govt has gone into a dormant state, it is a matter of balance, between unhealthy concentrations of wealth, and crazy schemes to "make all men equal". No mystery where the needle is resting on that meter these days.

Maybe the 3 are employing most of the 160 million and their Tax paying Social Security for the others. |

The 3 are more likely exploiting cheap labour outside the USA, to increase their stake. The people paying the social security bill would be largely within the 160 million, the working poor. You can't get growing disparity of wealth without a skewed system of taxation.

Absolutely, yes, inequity is crucial to a democratic society ... anything else is just a form of communism.
Welfare creates envy and inequity, which is the enemy, not wealth. Wealth is aspirational.

Taxation inequity would explain the growing gap between rich and poor, quite nicely. Many vor most relatively poor people pay more tax as a proportion of their income than the super rich, some would say they need a better accountant, not so, they need am equitable system, and they won't be getting it any time soon, on current indications. And I don't just mean income tax, I mean the total % of their income that winds up going to pay tax, including extortionate taxes on beer and cigarettes even. It's a corrupt system, simple as that.

I wonder how much tax the average Joe does actually pay, as a proportion of his income ? Way too much. Income tax, petrol tax, GST, alcohol and tobacco, stamp duties, etc etc, I'd say they start earning their own money around Wednesday some time.
