Moonee Valley

R/2 ~ Valaquenta
2yo Street Boss colt on debut over the 1000m recent Flemington jumpout was never out of 3rd gear closing off nicely .... what I like about this colt is the breeding he’s a nice type out of the mare Yavanna who produced Kementari ..... and very closely related to Telperion who I was a fan off (only lightly raced) but had a STACK of ability ....... $11.00 - $3.30 TAB

Warwick Farm

R/1 ~ Quiet Riot
3yo Fastnet Rock colt making his debut over the 1100m .....he’s been given plenty of time to develope this colt stepping out Jan last year with 2 very solid trials over the 800 - 1045m for whatever reason didn’t appear again until Dec again both trials were DECENT his most recent (looks in good order) liked the way he went through the line .... draws the car park (10) which is not ideal but if JMAC can put him in a decent spot not to far off them on the corner ....think he can roll the (fav) ......

FLEMINGTON

R/4 G2 SIRES PRODUCE ~ Kooled @ $6.50 (w)

Things didn’t happen for him on debut copped a Heavy track n squeeze when trying to work into the race shortly before the corner - n just left to much to do late  ...... Hung on the corner n showed a nice turn of foot otherwise charging late was a nice debut !! Very keen to see him stepped up to the the 1400m on a decent deck as have backed him early doors for the INGLIS SIRES !!

R/6 G1 NEWMARKET ~ Flit @ $23.00 - $5.00 (ew)

Bit of an enigma and very hard to catch but very talented when FRESH n switched on - think she’s OVERS n flying under the radar in this .... 1200 - 1400m is her sweet spot has been down the straight before n won n was never out of second gear trialing here the other day !!

RANDWICK

R/1 (L) FIREBALL ~ Wild Ruler @ $2.00 (w)

Allways been a fan of this horse a lovely 2yo who allways had that size n length about him - the type who’s going to be a better horse horse 12 months down the track in his 3yo season which is NOW !!

R/3 G2 REISLING ~ Vianello @ $6.50 - $2.40 (ew)

Looks a great ew play in a very competitive race not sure I like the gate (1) as could possibly get pinned against the fence caught in traffic but what I do like thou is getting back on a good surface where she was able to excelletate smashing the clock on debut !! ..... has since seen SOFT 5 - 7 tracks and I don’t think shes travelled as well although closing off her races very well ....

HAWKESBURY

R/5 ~ Close To Me @ $3.10 (w)

Aimed at some decent races early on KIRKHAM - GOLDEN GIFT n didn’t quite shape up to that level - had a few issues along the way this filly with some decent layoffs between runs but when right she clearly has the ability edge on these !!

MORPHETTVILLE

R/8 GUINEAS ~ Victoria Quay @ $2.70 (w)

Never out of 2nd gear trialing over the 1400m @ Oakbank 2 weeks ago I wouldn’t expect her to be any where near her top for this but the CLASS factor is HUGE she’s very good !!

RANDWICK - SAT

R/3 G3 BIRTHDAY CARD : Taileur

She’s been very good to me this mare ultra consistent progressing through the grades just nicely - Also nominated for the G1 GALAXY right down in the weights (51kg) where I think she can let down hard on a wet track n run a BIG RACE !! If she’s stays here will have to give them all some weight but I think she’s CLASSY ENOUGH !!

R/4 G1 RANVET : Addeybb

If the real Addeybb shows up I think he wins !!

R/5  G1 GUINEAS : Montefilia

Mo’unga looks hard to beat here but didnt mind this filly’s first up effort in the TEAROSE she only got warm last 50m should be ALOT of improvement here 2nd up fitter n stepping up to her preferred distance on wet ground which she likes have a feeling she may be put to sleep midrace n LAUNCH LATE !!

R/6 G1 RYDER : Avilius

I like the decision to keep him over these shorter trips especially on WET ground where he can use that sharp turn of foot he has ..

R/7 G1 SLIPPER : Four Moves Ahead

Love her wet track form n ability to quicken through it ... absolutely bolted in on debut letting down hard down the middle of the track in HEAVY conditions jumped up in CLASS in the G2 Sweet Embrace n Rawiller never breathed on her until the 300m she was bolting in the run and put the race away in a few strides ...... Has the ability to push forward from the wide gate (10) n find a nice spot early n excellerate when it matters MOST !!

R/8 G1 GALAXY : Wild Ruler

If the track was dry he’d be a MORAL !! Not at his best on HEAVY ground but gets right down in the weights only the (52kg) on his back - has all the WEAPONS to be a G1 winner this colt good early speed ability to sprint off a HOT or SLOW tempo only concern is how the track plays - SAVER on TAILEUR she’s the CLASSY wettracker down in the weights ....

R/9 G3 EPONA : She’s Ideel

Needs a change of luck with barrier draws this mare especially on wet tracks where she’s had to be dragged right back before storming home last prep very unlucky on occasions ..... looks in very good order this prep and getting out to her sweet spot 2000m

Addeybb - 2nd

Montefilia - 3rd

Avilius - 3rd

She’s Ideel - 3rd

Four Moves Ahead - 4th

Wild Ruler Tailleur - Unplaced

Avilius - Shes Ideel both desperately unlucky both should of clearly won with some galloping room ...... Montefilia left to much to do caught behind a wall of horses for the entire home straight never able to run in a straight line run was as good as the WINNERS

Weeks delay n track improvement ruined it for Four Moves Ahead she wanted a Heavy track

Addeybb reported lame during the week unfortunately ..... looked in BIG trouble on the corner thought after the easy run she had n race fitness Very Elleegant should of put him away a lot easier then what she did ....

Wild Ruler Tailleur both very disappointing Tailleur needed it ran last week HEAVY track ..... Wild Ruler slowly away never in the race

Caulfield

R/2 - Agreeable Resumed over the 1300m @ Sandown n got a mile back in the run before CHARGING late just missing ..... she’s pulled good ground off some decent horses in her 1st n 2nd prep allways settling midfield and doing a few things wrong laying in at times...... the step up in distance (1400m) looks ideal as does the small field KAH should have her within range CHARGING LATE !!

R/3 (L) RC - Najmaty Very keen on this filly trialed like a stakes class horse and debuted like a stakes class horse caught deep the trip and when asked the question she responded like a horse with ALOT of QUALITY !!

R/7 G3 EC - Amade BIG WATCH on this IRISH import who returns from almost 2 years off the scene from a pelvis injury ... Looks a very nice stayer who’s shaped up at G2 level winning the Belmont Stakes over in the US last time out ....3000m looks his GO but liked his recent trial @ Cranbourne over the 1550m was a good galllop up on speed STRONG through the line ..... if he’s any where near right he could run a CHEEKY RACE @ JUICY ODDS !!

Rosehill

R/1 G3 SCH - Conrad Should be unbeaten got held up behind Mazu on debut (who’s since stepped up to G3 level running on hard in the PAGO PAGO) before romping in at Wyong ..... goes from 1200m to the 1400m which is the slight query and has to do it from the wide gate but I like what he’s done so far n STICKING WITH HIM !!

R/5G3 SK - California Zimbol Only time this mares been beaten 2nd up was @ her second start @ listed level n it was a BIG RUN no luck covering an ENORMOUS amount of ground .... she’s won 3 from 4 otherwise and has a touch of quality !!

R/6 G1 VINERY - Hungry Heart Doesn’t like soft tracks this filly resumed @ G2 level in the Light Fingers n was poor ..... poor again in the G1 Surround both copping SOFT 7 n 5 Randwick tracks ..... I liked what she did last start tho back on top of the ground coming from last and powering LATE in the PHARLAP gets a decent deck again tomorrow n although never won over the mile n a quarter she really stretched Montefilia last prep over the mile has CLASS !!

R/8 G3 D PREL - Subedar Will get a good guide as to how my ALL IN DONCASTER BET is shaping up after this race .... He wants DRY ground and looks like he’ll be getting that tomorrow .... Both runs back have been want u wanna see nice n sharp ready to be stepped up in trip .... Was HUGE in the GUINEAS last year got stretched out over the 1800m in a GLOAMING so a GENUINE MILER no issues whatsoever @ the business end packing plenty of horse power LATE !!

Caulfield

R/5 - Elidi Has been getting back in her races n pulling LATE ground over the 1200m .... stepped up to the 1300m last start @ Sandown n had she been able to angle off their backs earlier in the home straight the race would of been all OVER !! The 1400m looks even better as does the smallish field ..... just needs to get some galloping room get to the outside and I think she’ll be lengthening LATE $7.00 TAB (Win)

Randwick

R/4 G3 A KNOX - Flexible 3yo Hallowed Crown filly who looks extremely hard to beat .... Powered LATE over the 1800m last start just running out of track ... think she’ll EAT UP the 2000m and no problem with SOFT ground  - Interestingly Rachel Kings been on her back in all 6 starts Cummings gives her the FLICK here n also with Anamoe in the SIRES - Berry takes the reins $4.80 TAB (Win)

R/6 G1 SIRES - Hilal Anamoe has been backed off the map here no doubt hard to beat but wayyyy to short for me - Hilal was impressive on debut in SOFT conditions n made up good ground in the SKYLINE on SOFT ground ..... Got back in the PAGO PAGO from the wide gate and looked Ok alongside Invigorating working home nicely out wide - Wide gate not ideal but the step up in trip (1400m) might be what he’s looking for !! $9.50 - $2.30 TAB (ew)

R/7 G1 DERBY - Montefilia Still think there’s more improvement with this filly GOOD run last start got a mile back finishing the race right off - Can she stay the 2400m that’s the BIG question (after failing in the OAKS last prep) - From the good gate (4) Collett can put her in a lovely position n give her every possible chance CANT JUMP OFF !! $3.60 TAB (Win)

R/8 G1 TJ SMITH - Bivouac This is the best gate he’s drawn for a while targeting these BIG Sydney races it’s a MASSIVE plus for this horse who’s been caught DEEP and had to deal with some tough runs - Will get a GUN RUN n have no excuses here !! $4.60 TAB (Win)

R/9 G1 DONCASTER - Avilius No luck at all last start like him kept to these shorter trips and u only have to go back and take a look at that explosive turn of foot he possesses over the MILE - Only concern is the gate (12) will need the gaps to appear at the right time so he can work into the race - If he gets that uninterrupted run he’s a MASSIVE CHANCE !! $13.00 - $4.20 TAB (ew)

R/10 G3 P J BELL - Najmah Been narrowly beaten her last 2 starts giving weight to the older horses n just caught on the wrong part of the track last start - Done nothing wrong this filly plenty of improvement n ABILITY n SOFT ground not a problem $10.00 - $3.20 TAB (ew)

Hawkesbury - Wed

R/2 - Dark Rebel

Geee he’s a nice type this colt looks exactly like his sire Astern out of the speedy Commands mare She Must Be Obeyed who’s first foul went straight to Hong Kong

Only had the 1 trial @ Kembla over the 800m moving through his gears nicely I thought looks possibly a sprinter/miler type colt plenty of  strength and scope about him .....

Trial winner has since won over the 1300m on debut n had to be revved right up to nail the trial this colt was never off the bridle plenty left in the tank through the line

Fingers crossed the market misses him early doors n he opens a silly price !! (3rd in a field of 5 trial form doesn’t exactly look flash on paper)   *opening price*

Bendigo - Wed

R/2 ~ Shes Booming

Spirit Of Boom 3yo filly on debut both trials have been pretty good over the 800 - 900m nice response when clicked up her most recent put back on the bridle LATE !! could of definately nailed the trial otherwise had Ford kept his foot on the throttle - This race doesn’t look STRONG to me !! $4.20 TAB

Eagle Farm - Sat

R/1 ~ Debussy Looks a good thing to kick the day off this 2yo Choisir Colt who’s on debut over the 1000m  - Hasnt been out of second gear in both his 1000m trials up on the Gold Coast gets a lovely draw (2) and should be WINNING !!

Morphettville -Sat

R/7 G3 AURARIA ~ Steinem Pakenham debut over the 1400m was very good she had a bit to do to mow them down but geeeeee she looked good doing it !! Looked even more DANGEROUS stepping up to the mile @ Sandown making an absolute mess of them ..... Draws the car park (20) McNeil only has to keep her away from the rail give her some galloping room and she WINS !!

Randwick - Sat

R/4 G2 P SYKES ~ Najmaty Only danger is Trifaccia who had to drift right back from the bad draw in the REISLING before powering late !! Clearly the best 2 filly’s in the race in my book ...... Najmaty’s been caught deep from wide draws so far  letting RIP outwide  - this time around tho gets a softer draw GUN RUN and can put them away !!

R/5 G1 OAKS ~ Montefilia GEEE it was tough deciding on this race Hungry Heart on dry tracks has looked super IMPRESSIVE no doubt oozes plenty of quality but can she stay ? A couple of others untested at the trip and the NZ filly the only horse with a 2400m victory .... Just think there is still some improvement with Montefilia who’s allways looked a staying type to me she gets back on top of the ground for the first time this prep here and the DERBY may have topped her right off !!

R/8 G1 Q ELIZ ~ Addeybb Thought he looked GONE on the corner last start was a gutsy effort to be beaten only 1L especially the way the mare was travelling in the run ... Can only be plenty of UPSIDE here his 2nd up record is excellent last time in winning the G1 Skalleti by 2.3L can TURN the TABLES if the real one shows up !!

R/9 G1 QUEEN OT TURF ~ Probabeel Not much to say here she’s the CLASS gets a good deck which she prefers and if all goes to plan she WINS !!

R/10 G2 SAPH ~ Entriviere NZ 4yo Tavistock mare who’s done nothing wrong so far and arguably could be UNBEATEN has that nice turn of foot and packs a BOOMING finish .... the gate (16) is not ideal but think this mare has the ABILITY to overcome it n RATTLE HOME !!

Doomben

R/1 ~ Tiger Heart Liked the run of this 2yo on debut over the 1000m ... settled midfield at least 9L off them midway down the home straight really swallowing up the line late (beaten only a length) stepping up to the 1200m looks ideal !!

Caulfield

R/2 ~ Brookspire Keen this 3yo Hinchinbrook filly can get the job done tomorrow ... she looks a promising type who stretched out nicely over the 1250 - 1400m in her first prep has since returned and just caught on the wrong part of the track behind Harmony Rose and left to much to do in the G3 KEMBLA CLASSIC after having to drift back from the wide gate - Draws perfectly here (4) well within striking distance STRONG LATE !!

R/4 ~ Najmah Disappointing @ Group level last start having to work from the wide gate hitting a brick wall when the heat was applied shut down 100m from home .....prepared to give this filly another chance as it’s the first time racing on a GOOD surface - gets all the favours with gate (1) NO EXCUSES THIS TIME !!

R/5 ~ Tydeus I’m really keen to see this 3yo Written Tycoon colt resuming from a long break and especially back around the bend where he’s looked GOOD romping in on debut @ Warrnambool n backing that up in a BM64 @ Bendigo .... Got put in the deep end @ G3 level @ Flemington and did ALOT WRONG over racing n wanting to hang for most of the home straight ...Looked sharp in his recent jump outs and has the ability to run a BIG RACE !!

Randwick

R/1 ~ Ahead Start Was a little green on debut but put them away nicely over the 1020m had excuses I thought copping a HEAVY track @ Wagga over the 1200m second up  putting in a pretty solid run when clearly not comfortable in the ground - He’s recently resumed from a 23 week spell stepping out over the 1100m drifting right back early before cutting right through the field shortly before the corner moved to the centre of the track powering home ... think the fav Ceasefire could be vulnerable stepping up to the 1200m AHEAD START good deck BIG track clean air SURGE LATE !!

R/4 G3 JRA PLATE ~ Zeyrek BIG WATCH for me this French import who had his first Australian start over 1400m completely tailed off last only moving through his gears very late never got warm at all - Think he can improve BIGTIME here jumping straight up to the 2000m ...., His form overseas is very solid winning both 2400m races then 2nd placings @ Listed level over the 2400 - 2800m !!! Hes bred to be a Champion sired by the English Superstar Sea The Stars while on the Dams side he’s a grandson of the unbeaten Champion Zarkava who also won an ARC !! I couldn’t believe the opening price very keen to see what he does here ...

R/6 G1 CHAMPAGNE ~ Hilal Good again last start just bumped into a STAR 2yo if he hasn’t gone backwards he’s the one I wanna be on !!

R/9 ~ More Prophets Going to Blast our the meeting with this 4yo Smart Missile mare ... Who returns from a spell after a nice trial ... has the legs to run 1400m last time resuming getting the job done over 1100m I think fresh on the BIG track from the nice gate especially with some decent tempo she can really GET HOME HARD !!

Randwick - Anzac Day

R/3 ~ Grace And Harmony 3yo Sebring filly who’s looking for the MILE !! She steps up to the 1550m tomorrow from the nice gate (2) just needs to find some galloping room if she gets it should be VERY HARD TO BEAT !!

Flemington - Anzac Day

R/6 (L) ST LEDGER ~ Through Irish Eyes Pretty keeen on this 3yo Tavistock gelding tomorrow his recent runs have been excellent don’t think he handles the bend all that well hits a flat spot losing ground but once he’s balanced back up in a STRAIGHT LINE really swallows up the line !! Don’t think the 2800m will be an issue and will absolutely love the BIG Flemington straight !!

Cheers Gay !!

Warwick Farm - Wed

R/? ~ Bella RougeBlackbooked this 2yo I Am Invincible filly after her 740m Randwick trial last week she’s  been nominated for a 2yo filly’s Handicap race over the 1100m and will need to be pretty good to WIN it because the Snowden filly BIlliondollarbaby looks to have her fair share of ability beating Port Louis on debut - That said I reckon we’ll get a nice price tomorrow ..... Generally 740m trials are not good guides for 1100m races let alone just the (1) but this filly looked very impressive to me .... she had to grabbed hold off by McEvoy jumping sharply from the wide gate n eased back in behind them about 7L off the leaders who were going at a good clip ..... really liked the way this filly darted between runners picking up the leaders with ALOT left in the TANK !! last 600m in 32.93 and this filly was coasting it was a very nice piece of work !!
