Ok its time to Hunta Winner

Sat 24th March

Rosehill

R/1 ~ Beau Geste * Thread in Main * Hes a talented horse this colt drew some bad gates last prep racing wide without luck Carbine run was enormous arguably should of won if not shuffled right back on the fence and slightly held up … resumed over the 1200m and was swallowing up the line late will be peaking second up only query is how bad the track is on the day but won impressively on a soft6 on debut $8.00 - $2.70 e/w

R/2 ~ Nettoyer * Thread in Main * Both runs back have been really encouraging for this mare amazing to think she broke her pelvis stacked with ability this mare and gets to a more suitable distance on a rain affected track ….thought the 1600m would be a touch short last start but the way she attacked the line after racing 3 and 4 deep the trip  should have her cherry ripe for this $3.20

R/6 GUINEAS ~ Ace High $8.00 (All in) Hes the horse to beat both runs back this prep have been sensational over unsuitable trips his Derby win last year was just incredible the way he just put them away over the 2500m hes guaranteed to have the legs on the wet ground when others are struggling

Kaonic * Thread in Main * $26.00 (All in) Better suited over the 2000m rather then the 1600m this colt didn’t get much room in the Randwick Guineas was travelling as good as the winner at the 400m but hes more a staying type rather then a sprinter miler am expecting a BIG run from this colt and onto the Derby

R/7 SLIPPER ~ Santos * Thread in Main * $15.00 (All in) Hes a cracking colt this horse didn’t let down at all second up on the soft ground but still managed to lengthen stride and hold them off definitely think his best is on firmer ground where he can really quicken so the soft ground is some concern although recently trialed over the 737m on the Heavy and when asked by Clark liked the way he responded down the outside im balls to the wall all in anyhow !!!

Oohood Really like this filly has just been luckless in all her runs had to come wide pushed right off the track in the Diamond a place horses just couldn’t make any ground that day and shes pulled good ground off the winner Written By recently trialed at Randwick over the 1045m on the heavy8 and seemed to get through it ok opened ridiculous ODDS for a horse with talent to burn $34.00 - $8.00 e/w

Performer Never backed this horse and hes not one of mine but the way he trialed on Heavy ground was impressive ran a length slower then Santos on the same day but was in total cruise control looked to get through the Heavy conditions with ease this colt thats a massive plus dont think he will be as disadvantaged as some others just has to overcome the wide gate $10.00 - $3.40 e/w

R/8 ~ Snitty Kitty Shes a good mare who had to work from the outside gate in the Oakleigh Plate effort took its toll late much better gate in this (6) has the gate speed to possy right up can handle soft ground and will give a BIG kick at the top of the straight $11.00 - $3.50 e/w

Friday

ALBURY CUP ~ Sin to Win Has had 3 starts over the 2000m and beyond won 2 and caught 3 deep the trip for a very game 4th has ability this horse only unplaced twice from 13 starts …both runs back this prep over the 1600 - 1800m have been sub 34 last 600m his runs have been very good gets out to the 2000m 3rd up hes ready to WIN $6.00

Looks a tough day with all this rain about !!

Ok its time to Hunta Winner

Sat 14th April

Randwick

PROVIN C’SHIPS ~ Serene Miss * Thread in Main * Should be unbeaten this mare got locked away on the fence 3rd up last prep had the 9 week layoff resuming carrying plenty of condition over the 1100m in a BM77 one thing this mare has is a turn of foot and although she was underdone it got her out of trouble putting a BIG enough gap on them at the 250m both horses have since gone on to run very well ……went into the Qualifier and was never on the track caught 4 n 3 deep the trip without cover had to make a long sustained run this mare from the 400m her ability to quicken and the grit she displayed to sustain the effort was TOP CLASS ……if she draws a decent gate and can travel one off the fence and sit on that turn of foot she has until the 250m this race will be OVER within the twinkling of an eye $15.00 TAB (All in) Currently $8.00 - $2.75 TAB still fantastic odds

AUST OAKS ~ Luvaluva * Thread in Main * HUGE run last start after a slight setback giving them all 7kgs and covering the most ground in the race shes a GENUINE STAYING FILLY who bigger and stronger more seasoned  …..I have no doubt had connections not been so over confident last year in the OAKS she wins …it was just a cocky ride this time around its all about building that momentum working into the race …….will love the 5kg drop in weight meets some talented horses but this is all about who can STAY this filly will be Caulfield Cup bound in the spring $15.00 TAB (All in) Was $11.00 yesterday but back into $4.60 I think thats still good odds dont be worried about the 7 day backup fitness wise she will be cherry ripe …..

PERCY SYKES ~ Pure Elation This fillys trials were super impressive and carried BIG wraps on debut running the MELB way .. Caulfield brought her undone as it does with many including the fact she overaced on both occasions definitely didnt see the best of her … Snowden sent her back to the trials and back to SYD where she didnt get much galloping room in behind Estijaad in the Reisling only beaten 0.4L …..what has sealed the deal for me was her win at WF coming from last circling the field with absolute ease I know it was a BIG drop in class back to Maiden grade but the way this filly exploded at the top of the straight the brute force in her action lengthening stride is something no horse in this race would of been capable off …….think the penny has finally dropped with the help of race experience and back to SYD Im a Fiesta fan but I think this filly is potentially another level and ready to deliver just needs to settle which I think they have worked out so she can unleash …… $6.00 TAB (All in)

Morphettvile

R/3 ~ Music Bay * Thread in Main * Got the job done on debut this filly holding off a horse who ran in G3 company firstup ... was allways bolting in the race slightly held up before the bend able to surge through the gap when asked for her effort definitely think she will appreciate some room out wide ….from gate (5) should be away from the rail plenty of clean air $4.60 LADBROKES Recently trialed never out of second gear !!

Caulfield

R/7 ~ William Thomas * Thread in Main * Good win last start liked the way he was able to settle better and saved for the effort has a tendency to overace so stepping up to the 1200m just needs to relax on the bridle … definitely talented enough to win $7.00 TAB

Randwick

R/5 ~ Seaway Ran 3 nice races in his first prep this colt especially once he stepped up in distance liked the way he powered through the gap once he got to the 1500m nailing Savacool on the line who won at Caulfield on Saturday ……. Resumed in a BM83 over the 1300m and just found them a little sharp firstup lacking the excelleration when required drops back to a BM82 here and steps up to the 1550m (BANG) think hes got this lot covered …….$3.50 TAB

Sat 21st April

Morphettville

R/7 SCHWEPPERVESCENCE STKS ~ Earth Angel Im all over this filly for the Queensland Oaks better suited once she gets to 2000m and beyond missed all of last spring due to a set back and that could turn out a HUGE positive for this filly being only lightly raced and given plenty of time …..gets to the 1800m tomorrow and opened ridiculous ODDS with the right run and good tempo shes capable of landing in the money am expecting a real eye catcher ………. $21.00 - $5.50 TAB e/w

Randwick

R/4 ~ Higher Ground Think this colt is the best e/w bet of the day in Sydney tomorrow resumed over the 1400m and liked the way he stuck to the task when the sprint went on for a nice pipe opener … lapped up the mile second up coming from off the pace going through his gears nicely especially his last 150m …….hes 3rd up here and stepping up to the 2000m last prep 3rd up he stepped up to the 1900m and won by 4L should get a charmed run with plenty of cover in this race jumping from the pole Schofield only has to navigate his way off the rail and this colt will be finishing the race right off ……..$8.00 - $2.50 TAB e/w

Wed 25th April

Randwick

R/2 ~ Gayson Savabeel gelding making his debut over the 1200m tomorrow trialed on the Heavy8 in May over 737m showing good early speed before dropping right off half way down the straight hit the track again a month later over 800m this time on a Good surface and improved sharply matching strides with the Bjorn Baker colt Big Bad Bruce who bolted in his next trial by 2.5L prior to that made up a stack of ground behind Bondi looks a nice horse who’s a BIG chance at Hawkesbury on Saturday ….  This Savabeel customer still appears very immature finding his way … draws a decent gate in this (2) think he has massive upside this horse can only keep improving might run a race at BIG ODDS !! $26.00 - $6.40 LADBROKES e/w

Moe

R/1 ~ Wanaasa Scratched yesterday back on tomorrow very keen to see what this filly produces on debut looks above average to me TBD

Flemington

R/3 ~ Osmium Liked the trial of this Fastnet Rock colt peeling out at the top of the straight in stalk mode only given rein when required to stay in touch debuted at Ballarat over the 1200m caught 3 and 4 deep the trip really liked the way this colt sustained a long run had the neck bent for most of the home straight laying in slightly for a strong win ………plenty of improvement in this colt think the BIG Flemington track will suit as hes a long strider very very confident he runs top 3 and may even BLOW them away if he puts that neck out ……..$8.50 - $2.70 TAB e/w

Sat 28th April

Doomben

R/9 ~ California Turbo * Thread in Main * Heading towards the Queensland Derby this gelding by Fastnet Rock with plenty of staying potential on his dams side ….Won will ease at Newcastle firstup on the Soft5 and went straight to listed level at Randwick outsprinting them with that nice turn of foot should settle midfield in this and the harder they go the better $8.00 - $2.80 e/w

Hawkesbury

R/2 ~ Graff Looks a very nice colt this one really liked the way he was able to come from off the pace on debut angling between horses powering through the gap looked soft on the line with plenty up his sleeve so the 1300m tomorrow will not be a problem …..recently trialed over the 1040m at Randwick and couldn’t of been any more impressive $3.70 LADBROKES

R/3 ~ Gaulois Seriously like the way this horse has been trialing he looks ready to explode here firstup ran some nice races last time in dealing with shocking barrier draws ….recently been gelded and it looks to have done the trick $3.70 TAB

Sandown

R/1 ~ Sweet Rockette FastnetRock filly making her debut over the 1000m trialed over the 800m at Cranbourne restrained early working her way through the field picking them off in impressive fashion really liked the way this filly picked up especially her last 200m when Michelle gave her some rein she picked up sharply hitting the line full of steam …….only concern is the 4th placed horse was ordinary on debut after also travelling well 2.5L away that said ill be having a crack at this filly to see the brakes fully released hopefully at a nice e/w price ……Dam was an overseas G1 winner over the mile …..TBD

Kembla

R/5 ~ Tonsor Redoute’s Choice 4yo on debut by the smart mare Brazilian Pulse had the 3 trials way back in 2016 without setting the world on fire returned over the 798m pretty much untouched right through to the winning post really liked his latest over the 791m was off the bit just after straightening and had to be really reved up by Huet took him a few strides to click through his gears but once he did really motored late …..should have plenty of backend over the 1200m tomorrow opened $11.00 and that was gone before I got there on at $7.00 TAB

Sat 19th May * Moved on these *

Doomben

R/2 ~ Divine Unicorn Lightly raced Lope de Vega gelding with a stack of upside only had the 5 starts for 3 wins 1 second only time he was unplaced was in the Highway beaten 1.7L had to shift ground and angle away from horses his last 250m but once he got back in a straight line I liked the way he was finishing off even thou Corey Brown had put the whip away a few times gives every indication the 1600m will not be an issue …..resumed over the 1400m after a 17 week layoff given a peach of a ride as was the fav Oink who peeled off his back and had every possible to run him down this Gelding showed a lot of grit shaking him off edging clear on the line should be fitter and more dangerous this time around second up stepping up to the mile ….Lloyd jumps off to ride Savwell who drops 4kg from his last start win and draws the pole im going to play some Russian Roulette and take my chances with Schofield in the saddle very keen this horse can get the job done ………..$4.00 TAB

Morphettville

R/3 SA CLASSIC ~ Earth Angel Been waiting for this filly to get to a mile and a half tempo of the Oaks just didnt suit last start …. Tailed off last and when they backed the tempo right off mid race sprinting home their last 600m in 34.44 its just impossible to be rattling home or making any serious ground … think horses will be asked for an effort a long way out here and this filly gets her chance to display her staying ability finishing the race right off at decent ODDS !! $12.00 - $3.20 TAB e/w

Flemington

R/2 ~ Layel Like the look of this Reward for Effort filly arguably should of won on debut held up behind the leaders had to be steadied off heels surging late when it was all over resumed from a 21 week spell at Wangaratta over the 1100m and absolutely bolted in allthough it was only maiden grade her sectional times were good enough for this especially firstup after such a long break on a soft track dont think this race is overly strong and this filly has plenty of natural improvement $7.50 - $2.60 TAB e/w

Rosehill

R/2 ~ Gaulois Backed him last start taking on the older horses just got to far back but liked the way he knuckled down in the home straight closing his race off only 1.1L away drops in grade here and naturally goes up in weight from gate (5) should settle just off the pace should take good improvement from his firstup effort and launch at the buisness end .....$4.00 TAB

R/2 ~ Chiang Mai Express Liked the way this filly trialled over the 795m had the talented Gibraltar Girl completely off the bit chasing hard to get past Reith still had a fair bit of horse power up his sleeve on the line debuted at Queanbeyan over the 1000m and won like a $1.30 pop should liked the excelleration this filly had at the top of the straight kicking clear for a very soft win carried 57kg that day jumping from (7) sticks to the 1000m and drops 3 kgs here jumping from (3) $3.20 TAB

Sunshine Coast

R/9 ~ Order Again * Thread in Main * Suffered a fetlock injury after winning the G3 Grand Prix Stakes 2200m last prep and was pulled from the Derby resumed over the 1350m after 12 months off the scene totally underdone after having both leadup trials cancelled due to bad weather ……settled at tail of the field and was travelling chin on chest just purring along for Thornton got badly held up at the 400m and again at the 300m behind a wall of horses powering across the line pulling serious late ground ….with a clear run I think he would of SMOKED them was an eye catching return !! Steps up to the 1400m jumping from (19) looks like a rain affected track so out wide could be the place to be ….hes a promising horse with a slight turn of foot and plenty of backend over these shorter trips doesn’t mind a rain affected track and drops 3kg from his firstup effort can sit deep with cover in this peeling off their backs uninterrupted run hopefully and just POWERING HOME !! …… $11.00 - $3.70 TAB e/w

R/3 ~ Ljunberg Has allways trialed like a horse with good ability this colt got thrown into the deep end on debut in the Listed MM 2yo Classic settling at the rear of the field Jonker put a space on them but this colt was only 1L away from the second placed horse resumes here after a 21 week layoff and has again trialed extremely well gets all the favours from gate (1) just needs a positive ride from Adkins and some daylight at the top of the straight TBD

R/6 ~ Tonsor Sticking with this boy he looks a nice 4yo who got the job done on debut was taken on for the lead and pressured for most of the race liked the way he dropped them off displaying plenty of backend over the 1200m for a comfortable win …steps up to the 1250m and although hes up in grade gets a nice 5kg weight drop natural improver good e/w chance $7.00 - $2.55 LADBROKES
