Kembla Grange - Tues

R/1 ~ Royalzel

2yo Snitzel colt who didn’t get much luck on debut over the 1100m @ Wyong

Got ran off his feet early ….. last approaching the corner and just when he started moving through his gears got chopped out close to the rail 150 from home …

Think the step up in trip 1300m will suit as will the smallish field and being out of a Show A Heart mare (Royal Tithe) he’s certainly BRED TO SWIM so wet track no concern ….

Rosehill - Sat

R/2 ~ Greater Harlem

He’s a nice type this 2yo Hinchinbrook colt powerfully put together possibly a future GUINEAS prospect !!

The 1100m looked a little short for him on debut but really liked the way he started moving through his gears late

He’s had a recent trial since to keep him ticking over and J MAC never moved on him …… the step up in trip 1300m will suit draws the car park (14) which is not ideal but I reckon if he gets any luck and is within striking distance approaching the corner he’ll be packing a BIG FINISH !!

R/6 ~ Green Flash

3yo Redoute’s Choice colt who’s a 3 quarter brother to Stakes winner Diplomatico and 3 runs so far haven’t been bad !!

Nice win on debut over the 1200m STRONG LATE …. then went to Canterbury 1200m where it’s hard to swing wide on the corner n round them up (stretched out nicely tho late)

Thought he was abit stiff last start stepping up in trip over 1550m had Echo Point drop back in his lap mid race and had to be steadied losing his position closing late behind Grace And Harmony

Looks to have plenty of UPSIDE this colt and hasn’t had things go his way past 2 starts and I reckon scratching him from the 1550m race midweek was a good move 2000m looks more his GO !!

Flemington - Sat

R/3 ~ Bring The Stars

2yo Sebring colt out of the NZ GUINEAS winning mare Rollout The Carpet

Very green on debut over the 1200m @ Pakenham running on strongly from the tail of the field … then went to Bendigo stepping up to the 1400m and again found the line well running on when it was all over !!

He’s screaming out for the mile this colt but 1400m @ Flemington will give him plenty of time to WIND UP !!

Doomben - Sat

R9 G2 ROSES ~ Good Soize

3yo Adelaide filly who’s been running on well in stakes races and I’ve been waiting for her to finally get out to the 2000m

She looks a staying type and from the good gate (6) can position herself much closer in the run STRONG LATE !!

Morphettville - Sat

R/2 G3 DAVID COLES ~ Heresay

2yo Street Boss filly who had to drift back from the wide gate on debut @ Geelong  slotting in 3 deep with some cover !! Liked the way this filly moved into the race after having to swing wide on the corner just running out of track LATE !!

She’s a full sister to Siege (who looks above average to me) carrying that Merchant Navy blood through the 2nd Dam (Last Tycoon mare Decidity)

Looks a BIG CHANCE in this !!

R/6 (L) CENTAUREA ~ Zayydani

I liked her runs at G1 level last prep over the 2000 - 2500m she powered LATE in the OAKS and far from disgraced in the DERBY …. Only lightly raced with the 3 runs under her belt this prep over 1400 - 1600m (unlucky last start) so should be cherry ripe stepping up to the 2000m

Draws (1) to get a coooshy run just needs some room to move approaching the corner !!

Doomben - Sat

R/5 G2 CHAMPAGNE ~ Prince Of Boom

Very keeen on this guy and had a decent crack @ the opening price ($13.00 TAB) thought his debut over the 1000m @ the S-Coast was VERY IMPRESSIVE !!

Jumped from a wide gate and just travelled so STRONG in the run tucked in behind them until drifting out into some clean air and putting them right away !! clocking the sharpest time from the 4 1000m races on the day EFFORTLESSLY !!

Think a few in this may get the wobbles late and this Spirit Of Boom 2yo can SWAMP THEM !! *Only concern for me is the gate (1) it maybe the inferior going and he’ll need some galloping room to build the REVS !!

Rosehill - Sat

R/5 (L) GUINEAS ~ Exoboom

Sticking with him he’s a horse I like and still on the UP ….. UNTAPPED !!

R/7 (L) ORTENSIA ~ Fituese

4yo Deep Field mare who hasn’t been seen since October last year and looks primed for this going by her recent trial !! (Rachel King never breathed on her)

She’s unbeaten 1st up and u only have to take a look @ her ALINGHI run last prep California Zimbol who has plenty of ability got all the favours that day in a sit n sprint affair !!

Looks a target race for her and she looks PRIMED !!

R/9 ~ Archanna

She’s a better horse then her form reads in my book … Unplaced on rain affected tracks @ RANDWICK (the worst track in the country for drainage) and especially when your in the worst part of it !!

She had no issue getting through the heavy @ Rosehill last prep and looked good mixing it with She’s Ideel n mowing down Nimalee ..

Think she’s a nice mare and going around @ a decent e/w price !!

Pakenham - Thu

R/7 ~ Riot And Rose

3yo Pins gelding who looked STRONG on debut over the 1200m @ Moe stretching out nicely his last 100m giving the impression he’s looking for more ground

Steps up to the 1400m here and I like the double cross of STAR KINGDOM through the DAM and also a hit through the sire !!

Cranbourne - Fri

R/8 ~ Seb Song

3yo Sebring gelding who chased hard behind Shelby Cobra on debut in Heavy conditions

His next 2 both on GOOD DECKS have been excellent looked absolutely home early n midway down the home straight over the 1350m @ Donald just stopped once he got alongside the leader prior to a very comfortable win @ the Valley over the mile ….

Resumes here off a long break (scratched from Sale - Wed) now going to a BM64 over the 1400m (Friday) off a couple of recent 800m trials where he’s been pulling ground scrubbed up late …. Looks a horse with plenty of RAW ability !!

Sale - Wed

R/? ~ Seb Song

Resumes here off a long break (scratched from Cranbourne - Fri) nominated for both 1200 - 1400m races on Wednesday off a couple of recent 800m trials where he’s been pulling ground scrubbed up late …. Looks a horse with plenty of RAW ability !!

Warwick Farm - Wed

R/? ~ Dark Rebel

Got scratched from this thread 3 weeks ago @ Hawkesbury and now nominated for a 2yo HCP over the 1400m on Wednesday

Geee he’s a nice type this colt looks exactly like his sire Astern out of the speedy Commands mare She Must Be Obeyed who’s first foul went straight to Hong Kong

Only had the 1 trial @ Kembla over the 800m moving through his gears nicely I thought looks possibly a sprinter/miler type colt plenty of  strength and scope about him .....

Trial winner has since won over the 1300m on debut n had to be revved right up to nail the trial this colt was never off the bridle plenty left in the tank through the line

Copy pasted my comments from 3 weeks ago above !! He’s now had another trial over the 900m @ Rosehill …. Had to be revved up a little to stay in touch cuddled LATE !!

But like I said he looks a sprinter / miler type so the 1400m on debut looks ideal ….

Gold Coast - Sat

R/5 G3 KEN RUSSELL ~ Dovetail Diva

2yo Headwater filly who I thought trialed very impressively over the 1050m @ Deagon parked 4th in the run and when given some rein moved around them very sharply pulling well clear under a very tight hold running her last 600m in 34.01

Brought that trial form to the racetrack on debut (1110m) jumping well but never on the track caught 3 n 4 deep having to roll forward 650 from home making a long sustained run pulling clear late STRONG through the LINE

Don’t think the 1200m will be an issue for this filly it’s just the wide gate (13) not sure what the game plan will be but like what ive seen so far !!

R/7 G3 GUINEAS ~ Immortal Love

Thought his first up run this prep over the 1100m was EXCELLENT coming from 14th @ the 400m hitting the line HARD !! Was good second up over the 1400m travelling into the race with a LAP FULL of horse at the 250 but just peaked when asked for the effort …..

Was STRONG over the 1400m in his first prep tho winning by 3.5L so he’ll be packing plenty of horse power dropping back to the 1200m here LAUNCHING LATE  just like he did winning the G3 MCNEIL (his best run so far)

Good gate (1) soft run just needs the gaps to appear and likes SOFT GROUND !!

Gosford - Sat

R/5 ~ Avion Fury

4yo More Than Ready gelding who’s had 16 starts … 12 of them as a SPRINTER !!

Has recently been stepped up in distance winning a BM64 over the 1900m then totally thrown in the DEEP END @ G3 Level  finishing only 3.6L away from Toffee Tongue n 5.9L off Shared Ambition they haven’t been bad runs at all ….

Didn’t have much luck last start dropping back to a BM72 leader stacking them up and just to far back …….

This race ain’t STRONG think he’s HUGE CHANCE !!

Cranbourne - Fri

R/7 ~ Sebsong

3yo Sebring gelding who wasn’t suited by the Heavy track on debut over the 1400m chasing hard behind Shelby Cobra ..

His next 2 runs both on GOOD DECKS he’s shown good ability looking all over a winner early n midway in the home straight over the 1350m @ Donald just had no idea how to put them away prior to that a very comfortable win @ the Valley over the mile ….

Resumes here off a long break over the 1400m off a couple of recent 800m trials where he’s been pulling ground scrubbed up late …. Think ability wise he’s clearly the BEST horse in the race !!

Morphettville - Sat

R/2 G3 SIRES ~ Princess Raffles

Cant understand the price (currently $21.00 - $5.00 TAB) she’s been running on in all her races over the 1000 - 1050 - 1200m beaten less then a length behind Cloudy who’s $5.50

She didn’t get much luck last start either caught behind a wall of horses and a runner parked on her shoulder wasn’t until the last 200m she’s off their backs and sees some clean air …. pulling good ground LATE !!

Think the step up in distance will really suit this filly and if she can get a good tow into the race and that uninterrupted run can really CHARGE HOME @ GOOD E/W ODDS !!

R/7 G1 DERBY ~ Deepstrike

Ran 4th behind Ain’tnodeeldun n Victoria Quay @ Listed Level last time in and looks to have matured nicely after 5 months off the scene both 1600 - 1800m runs this prep have been excellent really savaging the line LATE and NO LUCK last start in the G3 Chairman’s when held up for most of the home straight

He’s by Tavistock out of the Zabeel mare Obey so the 2500m shouldn’t be an issue !!

Wasn’t a bad run Rhino

I expected a decent TEMPO they backed it right off mid race which didn’t help her …

Run prior GENUINE tempo she looked ALOT better !!

I'm guessing O'Brien knows (DNA/muscle etc tests) he'll need further & wants to encourage him to relax/get home.

What did you make of American Angels run? Funny race and kept grinding to the line after looking half a chance at the top of the straight. Looking for further?

Man Of Heart ~ 4th

Very good debut !!

Danny O’Brien will surely be asking Lane why he decided to drag the horse towards the outside rail when you could of drove a SEMI TRAILER through the gap directly ahead !!

Bendigo - Sun

R/2 ~ Man Of Heart

2yo Reliable Man colt making his debut over the 1400m

Liked the way this colt trialed over the 800m @ Cranbourne he was slowly away last out the gates for Jamie Kah tucked in behind them on the corner

Kah angling him off heels little bit green when clicked up wanting to slightly lay in but was never out of 3rd gear breathing right down their necks STRONG through the LINE !!

He’s a 3 quarter brother to the G2 Wakeful Stakes winner and G1 Oaks winner Miami Bound through the Dam Happy Heart

So should LAP UP the 1400m and love the BIG Bendigo track !!

*No idea how Matao Ma is the favourite*

Hawksbury - Sat

R/1 ~ Gleneagles

2yo Capitalist colt who bumped into a GUN filly on debut in the MM 2YO CLASSIC then not much luck up in Queensland when forced to make a long sustained run out wide

Trialed very well @ Rosehill prior to resuming over the 1000m coming from midfield pinning the ears back late soft through the line ….

He’s the first foal out of out of the 2015

Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes G3 (1400m) winner Scarlet Billows

Which gives me plenty of confidence this colt will run a STRONG 1400m !!

R/2 ~ Archanna

Like this Snitzel mare getting back on top of the ground she’s been caught on the inferior part of the track her past 2 runs on SOFT n HEAVY tracks

Last prep tho she looked good mixing it with She’s Ideel n mowing down Nimalee both on GOOD DECKS which I think suit her more !!

R/7 G3 GUINEAS ~ Exoboom

3yo Exophere gelding who i thought looked in need of the run first up over the 1300m don’t think the pennys dropped with this bloke yet still plenty of UPSIDE !!

Stepping up to the 1400m will suit just needs to somehow overcome the wide gate (10) not sure if they push forward or snag him back but he’s a horse who’s got plenty of RAW ability and with any luck can run a BIG RACE !!

And give the odds on pop Ellsberg something to worry about !!

Morphettville - Sat

R/6 G2 TOBIN BRONZE ~ Minhaaj

No luck at all last start in the (L) Redelva caught behind a wall of horses for most of the home straight perfectly drawn here (4) to get a soft run just stalking the speed and can excellerate like she did @ Caulfield run prior …. looks HARD TO BEAT !!

R/8 G1 OAKS ~ Americain Angel

Cant believe the price for this Americain filly she opened $26.00 - $7.00 TAB and I was all over it !! Thought she was EXCELLENT closing the race off behind Brookspire last start over the MILE

She was really PURRING in the run caught behind a wall of horses entering the home straight only got going once she angled off heels LOVED that last 150m pulling serious ground off the winner STRONG through the LINE !!

I’m super keen to see her stepped up to the 2000m from the nice gate (6) D Lane should be able to find a nice trailing position n when they ramp it up approaching the corner this filly will be packing the horse power @ JUICEY EW ODDS !!

Currently $16.00 - $4.60 TAB n I reckon that’ll tighten even more come Raceday

Warwick Farm - Wed

R/2 ~ Bella Rouge

Blackbooked this 2yo I Am Invincible filly after her 740m Randwick trial last week she’s  been nominated for a 2yo filly’s Handicap race over the 1100m and will need to be pretty good to WIN it because the Snowden filly BIlliondollarbaby looks to have her fair share of ability beating Port Louis on debut - That said I reckon we’ll get a nice price tomorrow ..... Generally 740m trials are not good guides for 1100m races let alone just the (1) but this filly looked very impressive to me .... she had to grabbed hold of by J MAC jumping sharply from the wide gate n eased back in behind them about 7L off the leaders who were going at a good clip ..... really liked the way this filly darted between runners picking up the leaders with ALOT left in the TANK !! last 600m in 32.93 and this filly was coasting it was a very nice piece of work !!

Think he’s potentially the BEST horse in the race step up to the 1100m suits ...... Just needs a good steer by Bowman from the wide gate (12) saved for the effort STRONG LATE !!

Randwick - Anzac Day

R/3 ~ Grace And Harmony 3yo Sebring filly who’s looking for the MILE !! She steps up to the 1550m tomorrow from the nice gate (2) just needs to find some galloping room if she gets it should be VERY HARD TO BEAT !!

Flemington - Anzac Day

R/6 (L) ST LEDGER ~ Through Irish Eyes Pretty keeen on this 3yo Tavistock gelding tomorrow his recent runs have been excellent don’t think he handles the bend all that well hits a flat spot losing ground but once he’s balanced back up in a STRAIGHT LINE really swallows up the line !! Don’t think the 2800m will be an issue and will absolutely love the BIG Flemington straight !!
