I liked this 2yo filly in NZ before she was sold to OTI and transferred to Ciaron Maher.

She won a trial at Cranbourne yesterday.  Not sure of the plans but if she races as a 2yo would be more confident if she gets up to 1400-1600m.  She was nomed for the Atkins but haven't heard whether she's actually going to Brisbane.

Has obviously been bought with a view towards longer races as a three year old.

Her two NZ runs below.  Worth mentioning Belle Du Nord who beat her at Trentham was then placed in the Group 1 Sires next start.

$3 fav for the Oaks.
Hard to see her get beat on today's run.

Racing Carrot named her the filly to follow this spring.

I hope you didn't let the Oaks odds slip by then

I took $17 after you named her.

I've got plenty on her in the Oaks, but I don't think it's all over by any stretch. Bring Me Roses looks just as hard to beat to my eye.

Another 900m can be all the difference.

Looked good and was unlucky in the JJ Atkins so took the 20/1 e/w early and managed come out in front on the race.

Thought Alizee would round them up even though she got all the favours.

On for the Oaks but Pinot can raise the glass.

Another one I like, Teodora - very smart filly, hope she goes this way ( may come up a bit quick though)

I won't claim that at all-it definitely shows betting is as much about execution as knowledge.  No point just doing well on the knowledge part.  I literally have no idea why I didn't back her today.

Generally if I start one of these threads with the form attached you know it's a horse I really like.  I think over the past year they're been a mixed bag-

La Diosa-did win first up in Sydney then lost all form
Aloisia-has worked out
Padraig-has mostly been a flop in Aussie so far, at least in the city
Ardrossan-hasn't even run yet for some reason which must mean injury as Price was talking him up as one of his potential stars this spring

2500m brings a lot undone but gee she's a classy girl. Gave the fillies a cold second up over a mile and now has absolutely thumped the colts. Suspension is proving very costly for Cairon

How would she have gone in  the Plate ?

She has run 1.3 seconds slower or about 7 tp 8 lengths but would have carried 8 kgs less.

Few have tried but it's 40+ years since Surround did it for her age/sex, and she was a VERY special filly.  Aloisia has it all ahead of her but you wouldn't want to be betting against her winning an open G1 at some stage. Early days but this years crop of 3yo middle distance horses don't look a great bunch so her emergence is a good thing for racing.
