Unfortunately maxie they have 4 year fixed terms and unlike their Lib counterparts here, they can't just knife the duds every year to get rid of them.

I think ScoMo is becoming a real leader, and he can relate to a far broader group of Australian Citizens than most.

I had my concerns about him, but he is ticking all of the boxes and gaining momentum when it matters.Clap

DEMOCRACY AND RACISM EXPLAINED SIMPLY

A Muslim immigrant kid asks his mother,
"Mama, what's a Democracy and what is Racism?"

"Well, son, Democracy is when Australian tax payers work every day so we can get all our benefits, you know, like free housing, free healthcare, more welfare payments than Australian pensioners get, and on and on, you know, that's Democracy".

"But Mama, don't the Australian tax payers, and pensioners get pissed off about that?"

"Sure they do, and that's called Racism!"

(Never more simply explained)

Hellooooo, Waleeeeeed, Waleeeeeeeeeed ... anything Waleed?Embarrassed

Man Critical After gang Attack.

Police are pursuing a group of up 10 men, believed to be of African appearance, who were involved in a “brutal” and “confronting” gang attack that left a man in a critical condition over the weekend.

The 27-year-old was taken to hospital with serious head injuries on Sunday morning and he remains in a critical condition after being hit repeatedly with what was believed to be a metal pole or baseball bat.

No arrests have been made.

Acting Detective Sergeant Simon Watts said the victim had been “confronted by a group of African males” after he stepped out of a car in busy King St, West Melbourne, about 4.30am.

“He was hit in the head in a serious assault,” he said.

“It was quite brutal and quite confronting.”

It is understood that the victim had been in a black Toyota sedan travelling along King Street, while the offenders emerged from two separate vehicles, a red Subaru and red Mitsubishi.

According to witnesses, it appeared that the two red cars boxed in the Toyota before the victim, who was a passenger, got out.

One witness, who did not want to be identified, told the Herald Sun, that “people were

flooding out of … cars and it was all of them on [to] one”.

“The worst part was when you saw this metal bar, potentially even a baseball bat, come up in the air and swing down on to his head,” the witness said.

“That happened a few times and by the end of it you had to wonder how he was alive.”

The driver of the Toyota is currently helping detectives with their investigation.

Police do not know what led to the attack, whether the victim was lured out of the car or stepped out of his own volition.

They are currently reviewing CCTV footage from a nearby house and appealed for anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

When Waleed accused the Australian Government of being Islamophobic, a Government that allows Islam, and Mosques to be built, I think Waleed meant that the Government is Isisphobic?

Yes, yes, that would make sense. Isisphobic.

Nah Waleed, just label the very Government that supports religious freedoms, as Islamophobic.

I dont give a damn what religion he is, even if he just prayed to a singing bush, what he accuses the Government of is a disgrace.  Slimeball.

Busker with a musical instrument at the station ?

They can be annoying but calling in SWAT is a bit over the top.

Seriously though, this is terrorism in action - not the busker and his instrument but the reaction of people to him.  They are panicked and jumping at shadows, terrified of everyday life... which is precisely the objective of the terrorist.

We can hardly blame the police for their response.  They had multiple reports of an agitated man on a train carrying a duffel bag that may have contained a rifle.  They were not to know it was a musician  doing breathing exercises with his instrument in a bag.

Electricians have been shot for less.

False Flag this one. A very deliberate drill.
A required drill.

Police want to know logistics with public transport evacuations.
Real threats, require real drills.
Melbourne is considered high threat risk.

They have to do these things, its simply necessary, as it cant be done in paddock drills.

Was living in London toward the latter stages of the IRA spree. Any unattended baggage or personal property left on a train or at the station meant the whole thing being shut down until the bomb squad had had a look. Could be frustrating.

Maybe, maybe not, but I am sure the police would have learned a thing or two in the process.

For some reason I am intrigued by what instrument it was.  Duffel bag, breathing exercises.  Was it a trombone ?   Hmmm...maybe SWAT wasn't an over reaction after all.  That could be nasty if it were to blow in a tube station.

Are you terrorists ?
