Hoping Melbourne can bounce back tonight, will back them to score 81+, and staggered bets to win by 24, 39 and 60 +.

Melbourne have been very ordinary but the umpiring in that game has bordered on disgraceful.

How long will Jeremy Cameron get.
AFL people say NRL is a pack of Neanderthals, but he hits the guy on the jaw with an elbow and doesn't even get sent off. I can not even remember seeing an AFL player get sent off. Does AFL even have a send off? |

I reckon he'll get a month. There are no send offs in AFL. You can get a red card in suburban/local league footy but for whatever reason that hasn't been implemented into our national comp. That may change at years end. The rules committee will seriously consider a change. It's not fair when a team has to play the rest of the game a man short because of a cowardly act from the other team. |

At the beginning of 2017, what was the expectation for The Tigers ?

djebel! What brings you into this thread? At the start of 2017 the Tigers had a dud coach, dysfunctional management and huge structural problems with their list...apparently - later that year they were premiers.
This was because everyone underestimated them of course, but also because of the evenness of the competition- equalisation is really kicking in. Gameplan, intensity and injuries are all becoming more decisive. SYT has gone overseas. Here’s a chance for the Pinker Pinkers. |

Watching the big game tonight instead of the Dragons Eels game.
AFL has always seemed more reliable in that people seemed to get it right more often than wrong and as you say they were underestimated last season. I was just curious if that was the case or if I was not up to date so to speak. Good game tonight. |

Should’ve won that by ten, the Tiges. Sydney are an admirable but limited team. And Gary Rohan continues to be a big game liability. How much longer can they tolerate him for?

Carrying Jack (past it) and Hanners (what's going on there?), and Heeney (concussed), Swans were never really in it, even though the Tigers were one down as well (terrible luck for Conca).
Not sure who will really challenge them this season? ... fast and strong all over the ground, and they look more confident than last year - they could be getting better!!! One criticism of the Tigers - well, one of them. Alex Rance is a Superstar - he has the Hollywood good looks, he is articulate and has a sharp sense of humour - his career post playing is already assured. However, this isn't soccer, and the fans are unforgiving. If he keeps on "staging" the way he has been - and it IS habit forming - he stands to undo a lot of the credibility he has built up as a fearless and scrupulously clean player of great character ... which would be a shame.

Barry Hall fired by Triple M for vulgar comment on air.
Do not click and listen if easily offended https://instaud.io/_/2nai.mp3 Why were they discussing this on air in the first place? |

Heavy, the Lions are in a far better place right now than they were this time last year - having at least tested a couple of the better sides earlier on and are on a mini roll.
As for the Blues, suspect Bolton won't last the weekend out. Not that anyone really believes it's his fault, however there needs to be a convenient fall-guy. In truth the Club has been disfunctional for decades, starting with John Elliot's salary cap abuses, a pointless paper-over and ultimately unsuccessful appointment of Kernahan as President, and poor recruitment ever since the embargo following Elliot's transgressions was lifted.Just imo.

Just watching them live, half their side isn't up to AFL standard..
First lions game I've been too this year and really got to appreciate how much Hodge helps us out, there is calmness about the defenders now...also before the game when all other players had gone back to rooms Hodge was talking to kids, taking selfies and signing stuff |

so widely reported...no need to keep it going... that was a totally disgraceful comment and Hall should never grace the airways again...but what on earth was Montagna doing airing such an intimate moment in their lives...? I really wonder at some people's mentality... |

Mitchell and O'Meara brilliant for the Hawks who were about equal in all stats bar clearances, yet they still get flogged by the Lions.
A huge setback for them, and maybe they'd maybe do rather better if Kennett just kept his mouth shut. Which admittedly is a huge ask.

Whaddayareckon ... 3,000 at "Spot the Sucker who Paid for a Ticket" Stadium to watch GWS hosting the Premiers?
They are pathetic ... it is a bit chilly tonight though!

More disgusting scenes in the AFL last week.
Imagine the outcry if this happened in the A League. Time after time. Bunch of absolute hypocrites. Ban the pathetic little colonial game. Disgrace! |

What the kiss has the above got to do with pissed up bogans punching on with like minded neanderthals?
You just desperate to throw some mud back, to take the heat off your own issues, so your highlighting issues in Nepal for example? Pathetic mate, just own it. |

Anyway back to the footy.
Hard to be confident about anyone else other than the Tiges these days but I’ve had a dip at GWS at $9 to win the whole thing. Pressure seems off them a bit as probably for the first time in two years expectations have been down. Like the way they’re grinding out wins these days, showing a bit of steel to go with their undoubted talent. And they can improve. Alternatively they could still miss the eight- it’s that kind of season. |

For a straight connector you're very slow at seeing a straight connection- between soccer and violence.

Hmmm I wonder if there is more violence in football than AFL because one sport is played the world wide and the other is played in a small community? You like to come across as clever, do some analysis.
But anyway, what is the actual point or explanation for this? Or are you just trying to deflect the cultural issues within your own sport because 318 people died in Peru? Are you using those tragic numbers to minimise your own failings as a sport and a culture? You must accept that you and your sport are no better than any other IN THIS COUNTRY. https://www.watoday.com.au/national/western-australia/fremantle-dockers-fan-who-punched-woman-now-jailed-20151130-glbi3b.html Have you got another table for me? |
