Also get rid of the Gold Coast Suns, they are a blight on the game and talent pool.

I can't believe l'm saying this but there's only good team in the comp. Richmond. They're consistent, they're tough and most importantly they're a unit. They play for each other and they're committed. They will go back to back if they finish in the top 4. Who's going to beat them at the G?

Geelong no chance.
Hollywood (GWS) nope.
Adelaide please.
Sydney is the only slight possibility but l still doubt it.

Barring injury, it's Richmond's to lose.

In a comp where it’s hard to rely on anyone it’s becoming increasingly easy to rely on
the Tigers. Just a very good team.

Missed the game, will make sure I catch it during the week now!Big smile

Great to hear that Kennedy lifted, what I've seen, he hasn't been too consistent this season (injuries?), and for the Swans to be at their best, they need all of their key players, like him, at their best. Good to hear that some of the young guys stood up too, but that seems to be a feature of the Swans over the past dozen seasons, even when their depth looks questionable.

You would put your house on Richmond to make the GF if they finish in the top 2, they don't get beat much at the MCG.

Only 2 to 3 teams can come close to them, Swans, GWS at full strength and Adelaide but they need to be able to win at the MCG.

Hard to argue, but a long way to go yet TIGER ... the team that can keep it's core players fit and in form at the right end of the season will always be hard to beat.

That joke is getting a little old isn't it? Only 3 banned players played on the weekend so your comment is pretty much invalid.

There must be a host of performers at the recent Melbourne Comedy Festival who'd have winced at the very thought of attempting stand-up in front of an audience full of MJB's.  Wink

Re the unfortunate Bomber Thompson business, see James Hird is claiming he (Hird) received no support from Essendon in the supplements aftermath.

Fair dinkum this bloke is still steeped in bitter misplaced denial: the Club and some influential supporters bent over backwards in an attempt to see him through his troubles.  Dead

Why do AFL fans like going to the game so much? It's like looking at those old photos of them packed into Randwick during the Depression when there was nothing better to do. Seriously dudes, it's not that interesting.Confused

Imo the game isn't as compelling as it once was Tlaz, however it's still tribally huge.

We traveled by train from regional Bendigo for the races on Saturday and by the time we hit Melbourne the train was chock full of AFL supporters for the afternoon contest.  And before we recently moved from Wangaratta the very same applied.

Must cost a heap for these followers, with a family of four forking out maybe $200 on train tickets, entry, eats and refreshments.  These people must surely love the game.

I had a great day watching 3 games of Sydney park AFL on Saturday, none of them were Premier Division - and it was a better day than watching soccer or league or rugby at any level (it WAS a glorious cloudless 27 degree Autumn day to be fair!) - higher grades in those other games are only good to watch if you are a guest in a Corporate Box, and the Dragons are fogging someone like the Melbourne Fraud!Big smile

Just a better game than any of the others to watch live, and I can admit that having grown up watching Rugby League.

It does help if you bother to try to understand the game.

As for Victorians, ask a psychiatrist! ... they will stand in minus 3 degree sleet and watch almost anything!!!Wacko

Supporters are supporters but the West Coast mob are a breed apart. Unless they get an armchair ride from the umps they absolutely cut up rough.

Reminds me of old Digger from the Coudabeens: “The way they umpired, you would have thought they didn’t care whether Collingwood won or they didn’t!!”

After Roosters player Dylan Napa uses his head the most appropriate way that an NRL player could - as an assault weapon - breaks an opponents jaw and gets off without penalty, I wonder what Buddy will get for accidentally knocking a bloke out with a raised elbow ...?

He will get penalised, if there is any consistency by the AFL, and rightly so.

The comparison with the NRL, and the brain damaged officials who run that game, is startling.

My Colliwobble mobmeet the irrepressible Demons this weekend, with two of the three in-form ruckmen opposed.

How do you reckon it'll play out?

As the Judge suggested it was certainly line ball pre-game.  Grundy broke about even with Gawn which may possibly have made a difference.

Modern footy... two of the top three in premiership betting and this is absolute crud. 12 points in total at quarter time. When’s the soccer on?

There was an amazing stat on the Swans in the post game ... they have only beaten their opponent for inside 50's about 5 times this season ... got smashed again tonight, and were never in doubt!Aliir Aliir is a super star in the making!Clap
