I posted something very drunk to all the haters late last night. I'll refrain from doing so in the sober light of day. What a wonderful game. All I can say is GO TIGERS!!!! The party has just begun. |

Adelaide bottled it - no mongel in their game - Richmond had all the junkyard dogs.

That’s what they’ll be struggling with. Fair enough if you have a red hot crack and are beaten by a better team but they were simply outworked. A team noted for its even spread of contributors throughout the season left too much to too few. A long summer for a few of them.

What a flog Dermott Brereton appears to be.
A brilliant performer himself, he's earned big money since his retirement but appears to add scant insight into the game he was so good at several decades ago. His latest offering is that the Crows erred in "kicking into the wind" in the first quarter of the GF. Excuse me Dermott, the Adelaide side actually led by 2 goals at quarter time which would appear a pretty good result if indeed that swirling wind was against them. There were a host of reasons why the Crows got done over, however electing to kick in a particular direction in the first stanza certainly wasn't amongst them.

What a terrible performance by the Crows, no hunger what so ever, Richmond out muscled them all over the park
This will haunt them for a long long time |

I’d like to see a square off between Josh Jenkins and Gary Rohan. In the off-season for a giggle. Handbags at ten paces. |

Effectively that the AFLX tonight marked the start of footy.
As the AFLW has been going for 2 weeks several people were upset with him. |

trouble is, no-one has noticed that the AFLW has been on (unless you channel surfed past it)...poor Scott is only echoing the general sentiment... |

The Cronulla / Storm NRL was that bad last night I swithed over & TRIED watching that Nth Melb/ St Kilda game. Absolute rubbish - worse than the NRL. How can you be a professional AFL player & not be able to kick a ball straight ? That's my 20 minutes viewing for the year

Absolutely brilliant game between Hawthorn and Geelong today.
Two Hawk talls in McEvoy and Roughhead arguably made the difference, however Ablett is still a brilliant player who frequently thinks and acts too quickly for some of his team-mates to take advantage.

How many players on a side sit on the bench these days? (not the whole team, lol), you know what I mean, at one given time.

Cat Menzel's tackles today don't add to his pre-match total of, er, none. That after 300 minutes of footy.

Hey Dr. E, I think you mentioned your family knows Gary Rohan in the past.
I’m still not sure if he is an ‘Elite’ footballer but he has certainly conducted himself as an Elite person in the last couple of weeks after what he and his partner have gone through. His game last night was outstanding despite these circumstances. Condolences and best wishes to his family. |

Well said - haven't seen him for a couple of years, but there was never any question about him as a quality young man. He had to overcome some major injury hurdles on the park, but nothing like this tragedy. Plenty of great support around him and Amie, let's hope that they move on and gain strength from this, and we get to see the best of him on the field from now on ... because his best is better than most, and great for the game.

more than likely...both teams are playing the same brand of football with plenty of handballing...unfortunately Collingwood forget to stop handballing sometimes and look like they are playing a game of ping-pong... it should be a very good game... |

Huge comeback by the Swans, with Josh Kennedy a factor.
More importantly the unheralded brigade stood up with Haywood, Florent, Ronke and Foxl who've played just 42 games between them kicking 9 of Sydney's 12 goals.

Josh Kennedy won that game for the Swans in the last quarter, he was awesome
Geelong is hard team to work out, had the game at 3/4 time and shut up shop and looked very average in the last quarter. |
