One has to love your monkey PT. BUT Pauline is correct.
The Man & Wife have a licenced Business and the fact a few "holier than thou " people don't like the crumpet subject means nil. We have a shop near us that sells dead sheep . Not a word said. |

As you know, macca, the most dangerous sheep is the "killer", the mention of same has caused consternation to many a visitor to the grazing areas. |

Alexander had said that his father had renounced his British citizenship, but apparently he hadn't renounced. An unforced error?

He has disappointed, has Malcolm. Richer than Croesus, but really not worth two-bob as a leader.

Pauline just keeps on hitting "winner after winner"! ... it just strengthens the resolve of her support base. they love that stuff Like when she calls out Slippery Sam Dastyari as "a pip squeak and Mr Bean", and accuses him of using her name, and ostensibly setting up the racial attack on himself as a publicity stunt to sell his book ... "he should be a comedian!" ... "I don't believe Sam Dastyari has the respect of the people". "He's a smart ass, and does not respect the Australian people" I'm sure that a lot more than 25% of Queenslanders would believe ALL of that!! The only people who didn't see the funny side of that interview with her Sex Shop Owner candidate, and the saucy memes on facebook, are the obnoxious egalitarians who would never lower themselves to vote for Pauline anyway, so who cares. ... just like the Trump Deranged, the arrogant pompous out of touch left wing nutters who are horrified by Precious Pauline, will simply never get it ...

Gotta say, for all of the promise he showed, as soon as he is exposed to the light, the real "poor little malcolm" always seems to put his worst foot forward (when he can extract it from his mouth!). His poor judgement on almost everything is startling. I reckon the Libs are kicking themselves for taking the million bucks now ... you would want 100 times that if you knew what the damage would be!!! He is fast encroaching on Kevin 07's hallowed "worst PM ever" ground ... in saying that, I'm certain that Bullgelati Bill could easily steal the title, if god forbid, he got a chance!

When are we going to start asking why most duel citizenship are British?
Masons? Stonecutters? Would have thought in a multi cultural country, that we broke masonic ties. Obviously not.

if you werent a marxist, and were open minded instead....you would recognise good policy or debate when it presents, regardless of the party who instigates it. "Gender is dead" . your thoughts pt? |

As PT says the majority of the population has a British heritage but even more importantly prior to 1948 there was no such thing as Australian citizenship.
Until 1948 all Commonwealth with the exception of the Irish Free State, had a single nationality status of British subject. It was decided at a Commonwealth conference, in response to the Canadians passing their own citizenship law, that the United Kingdom and the self-governing dominions would each adopt a separate national citizenship, while retaining the common status of British subject. The Nationality and Citizenship Act 1948 gave effect to that arrangement and created the concept of Australian nationality while continuing to be British subjects. In 1986, the Australia Act 1986 severed almost all of the last remaining constitutional links between the United Kingdom and Australia. Subsequently, in 1988, for the first time, the High Court ruled that anyone who was not an Australian citizen, whether or not a subject of the Monarch of the United Kingdom, was an alien. The current crisis is the result of clumsy and antiquated constitutional arrangements of the half arsed nation state we call Australia. Australians appalling ignorance of their own history and their want to escape hard reality by mythologizing the past has led to the current crisis in which even the Parliamentarians of this country clearly haven't understood the constitution or which nations they are citizens or their responsibility under the constitution to ensure they are exclusively citizens of this nation to qualify to represent other Australian citizens in the parliament.

Probably more a case of the party realising Abbott was becoming a liability, than ditching him because there was a great talent waiting in the wings. Whilst it was a relief to see Abbott off, Turnbull has not grown into the job the way many, including myself, expected. |

The right thought he could be molded into their own nutjob image, the left thought he was always one of them so would move to the center His election ''own goal'' 2 seat majority put him in a position to be neither and is stuck there, just holding onto power for it's own sake.

The central platform of the election was to "break" corrupt unions, but seemed to fade rapidly from view.

My impression of Turnbull's PM-ship is that he is like a kid with a prized toy that he enjoys having ownership of, but without actually doing anything with it.

A funny place, Canberra. I was reading the other day that the Federal Police owes its existence to a heckler who threw an egg at then PM Hughes, as he addressed an outdoor crowd at Warwick, Hughes implored a policeman nearby to arrest the demonstrator, but he declined to do so, and Billy Hughes was later heard to grumble to his entourage that he would set up a police force of his own.

despite being lauded for his oratory skills. he is actually a poor speaker. after 30 secs he has nothing. sound bytes and never scratches beneath the surface. He is lost after half a minute of a speech and starts wafling, repeating and stuttering. |

He'd rather go kayaking on the Harbour. He wanted to take Jacinta out with him, if time permitted.
