WA showed how fragile her supporter base is She stuck it up them there with her arrogance abandoning her core principle of not being a major party and 40% of them walked. The amazing thing is that someone of her experience would so readily turn on them for a whiff of power. Shows how out of touch she is It should make a lot careful about still supporting her. She has a lot of fence mending to do. She also has to get rid of the Alt-Right lollipop who is controlling things. How karmic will it be if he ends up in prison after what he did to Peter Slipper? I hope she gets sorted out, Australian politics needs her. She will forse politics back to the centre

Ashby did it well, ingratiated himself with Hanson by offerring free stationery. In return every candidate was forced to purchase stationery from his company at what seems to be a 70 % premuim.
Nice little loss leader by Ashby, but Pauline was not sucked in, she was a successful business woman, in a fish and chip shop as she constantly reminds us. Right up there with Gina Hancock  |

Former Speaker Peter Slipper himself was seduced by the prospect of true friendship — a mateship, someone he could trust, share dirty jokes with. Slipper had never been awash with friends. James stabbed him in the back. Why? Malice probably had a bit to do with it, but there was more than a sniff of money in the air. James’ lawyers reportedly dropped $3 million — without apparent recompense. Now James is facing court costs, which we understand will be around $1 million, for his ultimately-abandoned action against Slipper. That’s James himself, personally. Pauline is not poor. Apparently she owns a shopping centre, Armidale I think, plus a few other properties. Nelson describes her as "loaded". But it is unlikely James wants Pauline for her own money. Given the LNP’s involvement in the Slipper matter, you’d have to think James had a cast-iron indemnity for the inevitable consequences. And that brings us to what a lot of One Nation stalwarts are starting to think — that James is an LNP plant sent, not to destroy One Nation, but to bend it to the LNP’s will.
There is more to it of course, it is much more nuanced. I don’t think Ashby is a plant. I am more inclined to think James (possibly with the help of long-time partner-in-fun Will Hughes) came up with the whole grand idea of seducing Pauline himself. It would be a magnificent challenge and he knew he could pull it off. James has an exquisite eye for a weak point. Dont forget James Ashby was left with a legal bill of up to $3million(he asked for $1m from the taxpayer) from his failed attempt to extort from Peter Slipper. Maybe the Liberal Party came good or maybe Mal Brough getting the rocket and Wyatt Roy getting booted at the election suggests the Libs cut them loose.
Still like to know what he and Newman were cooking up, and why Pyne was let off the hook These questions might be answered if PHON implodes and Ashby has a hand in it. Don't forget Abbott set up the fund that sunk her last time and put her in prison. Interesting that he and Pauline claim to have buried the hatchet I don't believe that for a second. Something is cooking and as she is an enormous threat to their very existence, I think she will come to a sticky end again, and her own ignorant arrogance will be the cause.
