Forbes magazine has a self-made score and a philanthropy score. From 1-10, 10 being most self-made or most philanthropic. Trump has a self-made score of 4 - Inherited fortune and increasing it in a meaningful way, and philanthropic score of 1 - greedy tight-arsed bastard.

The Real-Life Mob Families of ‘The Irishman’? Donald Trump Knew ThemThe president and his associates have long histories with the Mafia figures who populate Scorsese’s film Martin Scorsese’s new film, The Irishman, conjures up a lost world. It depicts an era when the Mafia was so powerful that it set off alarms in the Kennedy White House, and Scorsese even hints that organized crime was behind JFK’s assassination. But by the end of the three-hour-plus movie, the nostalgia fades and so does the pinkie-ring finery. Every made man Scorsese introduces to the viewer is snuffed out until all that’s left is Frank Sheeran (played by Robert DeNiro), a disheveled, wheelchair-bound ex-hit man who’s haunted by his memories. At the film’s end, a pair of FBI agents plead with Sheeran to talk about his victims, telling him there’s no reason to keep silent anymore because there’s no one left to protect. “Everybody’s dead, Mr. Sheeran,” one agent says. “They’re all gone.” Well, many still remember. One person who knew the real-life mob families that show up in The Irishman is President Donald Trump.
Back in the 1980s and 1990s, Trump’s buildings and his casinos attracted underworld figures like “Fat Tony” Salerno, the Fedora-wearing, cigar-chomping boss of the Genovese crime family. Salerno, who’s portrayed in the film by Domenick Lombardozzi, supplied the fast-drying concrete that built Trump Tower and other Trump properties. Salerno also controlled the local concrete workers union, and when a strike shut down construction in Manhattan in 1982, the one of the few buildings that wasn’t affected was Trump Tower. |

There is also a connection between Joe Biden and Frank Sheeran. The Teamsters Union helped get Biden elected in 1973 using some unorthodox methods and they said they had a good relationship from there on.

I watched half on Friday and the rest today. I had read that the anti ageing special effects/CGI took up a sizable chunk of the $200 million budget.

Scorsese is overrated in my opinion. How many times has he made that same movie? Seen it all before. And how you manage to spend 200 million on it is amazing.

So is de Niro. Jeez that one facial expression he has in his acting toolbox, employed in all roles, comedy or tragedy, got old 40 years ago. |

De Niro is/has been a great actor.
As for the move The Irishman, I am trying to get into it,no luck yet. Maybe I have seen too many Mafia movies and Scorsese's narrative style but I feel like I am watching Goodfellas

Google some of the main characters Whale. It is a pretty close to real account of very significant historical events, written by the man himself. Some people dispute small points but not many dispute the main events. Similar to Underbelly here some claims of who killed whom are disputed. Also some interesting interviews with Marvin Elkind, Jimmy Hoffa's driver, who was caught on wire tap and ratted on the mobsters are out there. Most are a few years old.

My God, where do you start with this bizarre unhinged racist garbage? Jewish groups denounce Trump's 'vile' remarks at Israeli-American CouncilBY REBECCA KLAR - 12/08/19 01:00 PM EST Jewish groups criticized President Trump for using anti-Semitic tropes while speaking to the Israeli-American Council on Saturday night. The Jewish Democratic Council of America said his remarks were “deeply offensive” in that they repeated “negative stereotypes that have been used historically to target Jews.” The remarks doubled down on the group's critique that Trump is the “biggest threat to American Jews,” which the group highlighted in an ad released last month. “We strongly denounce these vile and bigoted remarks in which the president – once again – used anti-Semitic stereotypes to characterize Jews as driven by money and insufficiently loyal to Israel,” Jewish Democratic Council Executive Director Halie Soifer said in a statement Sunday. “He even had the audacity to suggest that Jews ‘have no choice’ but to support him, and that we should ‘get people out of [our] country’ in order to increase support of Israel,” she added. During the Israeli-American Council’s 2019 national summit in Hollywood, Fla., Trump told the crowd, “A lot of you are in the real estate business because I know you very well.” “You’re brutal killers, not nice people at all, but you have to vote for me. You have no choice,” he continued. He went on to criticize Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), a leading Democratic presidential candidate, saying, “You're not going to vote for Pocahontas.” "You're not going to vote for the wealth tax," he added. "Yeah, let's take 100 percent of your wealth away," Trump said. He also said, “We have to get the people of our country, of this country, to love Israel more.” “We have to get them to love Israel more because you have people that are Jewish people, that are great people — they don't love Israel enough,” Trump said. Left-leaning Jewish advocacy group J Street similarly hit the president over his speech. “The President of the United States is incapable of addressing Jewish audiences without dipping into the deep well of anti-Semitic tropes that shape his worldview,” the group tweeted Sunday. “We’re not going to hold our breath waiting for Trump's supporters to speak out. We are going to work tirelessly to defeat this president and those who’ve enabled him 11 months from now,” J Street added. Soifer pointed out that Trump, in fact, does not have the support of the majority of American Jews. “American Jews do have a choice, and they’re not choosing President Trump or the Republican Party, which has been complicit in enacting his hateful agenda,” she said. Soifer said Jewish support for the GOP has been slashed in half since Trump took office, from 33 percent in 2014 to 17 percent in 2018, and she added that the decrease was because “Trump’s policies and rhetoric are completely antithetical to Jewish values.” “An overwhelming majority of Jews are both pro-Israel and anti-Trump because of his incendiary rhetoric targeting our community and others, and because his symbolic gestures on Israel have not made America or Israel more secure,” she said. This is not the first time American Jewish groups have called out Trump for invoking anti-Semitic tropes to suggest that Jewish Americans have a loyalty to Israel above the U.S. The Jewish Democratic Council of America and J Street were among groups to condemn Trump in August when he said American Jews who vote for Democrats are disloyal. |

James Comey was booked to go on Fox and Fiends tomorrow morning to be attacked about the IG findings. The report is so damning to the Trump conspiracy crap that they rang him and cancelled. He has gone on MSNBC instead.
