It isn't a criminal investigation, it is a background check as part of a job suitability report that requires updating as new information has come forward. The onl person who can order the reopening of the background check is the person who ordered the original report as part of this confirmation.

The amount of child trafficking he has stopped and pedo rings arrested, is astonishing. He he also fully at war with China. Agreed - she should be charged for her false accusations, just as the Doctor should. These women, along with their "coaches" (quack psychiatrist/clairvoyants) who "help them" discover "vague memories" from a parallel reality, SHOULD do some time in jail for their unmitigated fraud. You must agree that when you consider the history of the treatment of those who made legitimate accusations against the likes of Bill Clinton, Clarence Thomas, and just the other day Keith Ellison, it is all just embarrassing for the hypocritical Democrats. Apart from the fact that they discredit the #MeToo movement, and set their claims back ... well 36 years at least!

I also saw that Yale Law School, Kavanaugh's old school has sent a letter signed by 48 faculty members asking the Senate to hold off on confirming their own man until a full and proper investigation takes place Apparently Yale are also investigating him over some issues involving female clerks he employs from the University.

Whatever happens this week a process that should have been a straightforward numbers game and easy confirmation for a right wing judge has turned into a nightmare for Republicans only 6 weeks from the elections.
Why did Trump ''select'' him after personally adding him to the established list of 25 judges the Federalists had put together over a few years of right wing nut-job judges who would all do the same thing in regards Roe and all other far right pet issues? Why him, the first time in history 2 clerks from the same SCOTUS judge have become judges if approved?
