Bill Clinton and even Bush jnr would have shown far more class than Trump. Trump is a feral with an open cheque book.

You mean "President Elect" Trump ... the people get what the people crave ...Wink

But seriously djebel, how could you possibly purport to know how those two allegedly corrupt, misogynists and adulterers would have performed under the scrutiny of the electronic and social media of today???Ermm

There was no facebook, virtually no internet, barely anyone had a mobile phone when Clinton was elected, let alone an iphone for instantaneous reporting of news ... they were surrounded by experts of the covert and the cover up, and I'm really not sure how we know what we do know about them? ... tip of the iceberg? ... you would have to be a naive fool to believe otherwise ...
In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

I'm sure that it is the SJW minority, who represent the majority who are on social media (pay attention and don't try to bend it like Beckham, again PTWink) and the mainstream media ... yes.

Neither today, nor tomorrow nor never Mexico will pay for that stupid wall. If Trump wants a monument to his ego, let him pay for it!!

From The Atlantic, the conflicts of interest within the Trump administration

Doc, you wont have to worry about Republicans reading it though, they dont read The Atlantic....too many paragraphs big words and well constructed sentences for them to strain over.

The Trump Administration's Conflicts of Interest: A Crib Sheet

The financial baggage the president-elect’s advisers bring to the White House—and the steps they’re taking to address ethical and legal concerns

the only saving grace i can see from the rise of this imbecile is that it has outed some realities than were buried, dismissed or disgarded previously.

fake news. its been fake news for centuries. but the trump phenom and this election has made it REAL. as in...no really...fake news is real and their is lots of it, msm certainly included.

disenfranchised people, without much hope - they can be white and lower-middle class. and lots of them. they dont necessarily fall into a minority group, or a group captured by "identity politics".

She is doing a stirling job of defending him considering she can't stand the guy.  As usual money Trumps principles , she must be on a good salary

Is her middle name PATHETIC or is it PITIFUL?? Prior to her getting on his payroll in August 2016 she continuously bashed Trump on everything especially his low life con man charactor traits. She said many times during the primaries that DT would be the worst choice of all on the Rep. stage. She even said several times it was VERY strange and suspicious that he will not show his tax returns.

I see her husband George, a lawyer is on a shortlist for 3 senior positions in the administration. I read last night that he would be ideal for any position, with he and his company having experience working in Russia

Other than entering WW1 and 11 this could be the most important thing effecting Australia since the poms landed here.

After hearing Trump and Tillertson yesterday, little is more certain.

I have no issue with Trump wanting defense partners paying their way. You can't be a "partner" without actually contributing your fair share.

It's funny, for so long people complained about USA, World Police. Now Trump wants partners to step up and start contributing more themselves, and it's a negative.

The US budget isn't in a state to continue giving out free rides any longer. I'm not going to sit here and complain about that country looking to do more things to promote it's self interest, because that's exactly what we do as well.

How far do we go to appease these nutters, engage in a blockade with Japan and Korea? And what will taking sides in this rubbish cost us in trade with our biggest partner? What will blockades and a cold war with China do to our mining industry?

Earlier this week, the former Exxon Mobil chief executive and nominal SOS Rex Tillerson said the US would send a "clear signal" to China that its access to artificial islands in the South China Sea would be blocked.

In a confirmation hearing before the US Senate and Foreign Relations Committee, Mr Tillerson also said the US's traditional allies in South-East Asia should also provide "back up" in the region.

China State media responded with

"If Trump's diplomatic team shapes future Sino-U.S. ties as it is doing now, the two sides had better prepare for a military clash."
