Shammy, why do you think this story has come out now and where did it come from?

Do you reckon it could have come from Congress, particularly the left as a result of William Barr's arrogant attitude to Democrats this week, refusing to meet with them ahead of approval hearings?

As usual, NYT provides no named sources. So what's so new about its tabloid reporting about the Russian connection to Trump? Remember, the DOJ, FBI, DEA, etc. don't officially acknowledge or speak to ongoing investigations. You need to upgrade your reading list.

James Baker was the main source, or at least his unclassified testimony before Congress along with Comey's. Baker has since added a bit to the story.

No surprise for those of keeping up with the story, rather than pretending it isn't happening. I did tell you a long time ago that Trump had been under counterintelligence and criminal investigations for up to 30 years before 2016.

Had yo bothered to look at Comey's testimony from a few weeks ago and thought about the important point I raised about the difference between collusion that Trump is pushing, obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting, and the difference between counter intelligence and criminal investigations, you would see that this article relates directly to that.

Trump and his lawyers along with a potentially  corrupt AG will argue that obstruction is outside Mueller's mandate, something Barr made clear in his memo/ job application. Comey and Baker both made clear the  original FBI investigations were separate and distinct, but merged when it became apparent that Trump was actually aiding and abetting the Russian Federation in defrauding the American people of a fair election. The crimes merged.

Comey has been consistent in all appearances that Trump himself wasn't under investigation originally, but that changed with the sacking of Comey and the reasons given by Trump to MSNBC and to the Russian Ambassador in the Oval Office(of all places) where he said it was to make the Russia thing go away.

Shbtle differences but extremely important and critical to the appointment hearings of Barr this week. Be sure he will be targeted by Democrats on these lines, the main reason possibly he has refused to be privately interviewed by Dems.

I found interesting the exchanges between Gowdy and Comey with Meadows interjecting. Gowdy kept trying to get Comey to equate ''collusion'' to ''conspiracy'' A word count shows it appeared 16 times. Comey kept saying that he had no idea what collusion meant as a legal term as he had never heard it used. Conspiracy and aiding and abetting yes, but collusion no.

Is this an insight of the Trump/Republican strategy for excusing Trump's criminality Shammy? A semantic debate over a word that doesn't exist in criminal statutes?

Comey was up for it and kept batting them both away.

From December 16.

PT, why wouldnt you want Trump talking "with" Russia anyway?
In regards to global security, any idiot knows its deeply important that America and Russia are getting along nicely.

You dont want a fence up at the Mexican border, yet having a good ole chit chat with Russia is a "no no".

Be a "nationalist" when it comes to not chatting with Russia.
Be anti'nationalist, when it comes up a wall/fence

You are just picking and choosing both sides. Of the fence. Pun intended.

The very fact that you are finding conservative organisations such as this, featuring “gotcha” moments, says that your feeding your bias on a regular basis.

LOL
There's an opening for another republican party front runner for 2020 PT.
Ted Cruz ......EL CHAPO.

Wouldn't it be poetic if El Chapo was responsible for building the wall and reopening government?
I think Ted's onto a winner.

Gee mate you could at least post the news from CNN. I did leave it for you.

https://edition.cnn.com/2017/04/26/politics/el-chapo-border-wall-trnd/index.html

(CNN)Forget that talk about Mexico footing the bill for President Trump's border wall.

Ted Cruz has the answer -- let El Chapo pay for it.
The conservative Texas senator thinks the $14 billion in assets the US government is trying to get from the reputed drug lord -- whose real name is Joaquin Guzman -- would be a nice down payment on Trump's vision of a "big, beautiful" wall on the southern border.
Cruz introduced the Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order Act -- you get it? The EL CHAPO Act! -- on Monday. The bill would take any assets that the government would get from prosecuting El Chapo and apply the funds toward building the border wall.

Gee there is so much news from the US that we never see, especially on TBV.
Yet all the nevertrumpers do is say 'but CNN said blah blah'.LOL The facts just aren't coming from them though, just opinion. That one got through, but you have to go to page 2 of the Google search to find it.LOL

Shammy's gonna have a great time with the El Chapo Act.

How does Trump get that money? Wherever it comes from it has to be properly appropriated.

Ted is just taking the p1ss out of Trump anyway. Texas doesn't want the wall and with 95% of property needed to be seized, it will be decades before a sod is turned. Meanwhile with with California, New Mexico and Arizona under wall, every evil Mexican will flood through Texas.

If it is in the bill to be voted on then congress can't stop it. It makes sense, drug money to keep the drugs out, and the rest of the problems they have without the barrier (as the Democrats voted for prior).

Deflection is your best tool PT, so you should stick to that.
But the highlighted text from your post is untrue. Shocked

Wasn't he down on the border with Trump?
Didn't he agree with everything said and asked for?

Oh yes, it probably wasn't reported on MSM so you didn't see it.LOL

The seizure of land isn't going to be a problem either, it's law and you know it. They can fight to keep a tiny strip of land if they want to be political about it but in the end the government wins.
The 9th circuit can't even help them.

Bush may have had trouble but Bush is gone. The DOJ will step in once Rosenstein is out in the cold and Trump will have the entire department at his fingertips.
It's all unfolding well for Trump. Whispers even some of the Democrats are saying Nancy and Chuck need to compromise. Hmmm...

Very good point Judge.

The West have the same problem throughout ...   Do gooder's speaking the loudest with NIL experience of the subject.

Drugs get into Gaols for the same reason people get posession of them .

WE ALLOW IT.     Indonesia cured 2 of our drug runners in more recent times and thanks to that Government , They won't offend again.

The border wall also will impact federal eminent domain practice in the future. Many predicted the government would file numerous eminent domain cases in 2018 to build President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful wall,” although the anticipated volume of federal condemnation cases has not materialized. Instead, the small number of existing federal border wall condemnation matters were filed after President George W. Bush signed the Secure Fence Act of 2006. During his presidency and that of President Barack Obama, the government built almost 700 miles of wall and fencing, mostly in New Mexico, Arizona and California where the federal government controls a 60-foot-wide strip of land adjacent to the border.

Fencing in Texas is more problematic; Over 95 percent of Texas is privately owned, so the existing fence has huge gaps between segments and often sits far back from the border. Much of the fencing in Texas that currently exists is located in populated areas, such as Brownsville and El Paso. There will be several legal and appraisal hurdles to overcome if new border wall condemnation lawsuits are filed. For example, determination of the land’s highest and best use and value after a taking when large portions of the property are located south of the border fence can be difficult. Access to the property south of the border wall creates other logistical and legal headaches that equate to significantly reduced market value.

Better not watch this either Scamanda. Fox News senior legal analyst Andrew Napolitano laying out facts on Trump campaign/Russia collusion/conspiracy and tearing apart the lies.

Poor little Trumpers have been going nuts on twitter calling for Napolitano's head for daring to put forward facts on their Fox safe space. Telling him to go to MSNBC or CNN. Not to stop telling the truth, but to tell it to an audience who wants to hear it. Says all you need to know about the brainwashed cultists. LOL

Northern or Southern border?

Oh that's right, despite more illegals, and most terrorists coming in across the northern border or through airports, there aren't any right wing votes in shutting down that border.

Something I rarely say Shockedbut look at both oneone and Redemption's posts on high tech measures to monitor and protect borders.

That is what Democrats and most Republicans want, not a stupid medieval monument to Trump and racism.
