I would lay 4 of the 1st 5 on TAB's market-Yankee,Hartnell,Sacred Elixir and Prized Icon. To have any of these(apart from Hartnell) less than 50/1 is criminal.

I was impressed with Sacred Elixir in the Derby.

I was impressed with Kinema today.

Of Lloyds I like Morning Mix and Our Century.

Of course you are not going to take anything short this far out.

Are Charlie's squad staying here??

I've not heard any news that Qewy, Oceanographer, Francis of Assisi or Second Wave are staying.

Go back the first page of the 2016 Melbourne Cup thread which was opened immediately after the 2015 edition.  In the early market you have to go down to the 12th horse in order to find one that actually ran in the race - Bondi Beach at $26.00

If that is a fact the Sydney Cup should be a good race.

Be interesting to see how they map their racing program to the Sydney Cup.

No way will i be touching the early market, for exactly the reason Lordy stated.

I actually went through that list a couple of weeks ago, i think bondi beach was going to be the only value bet, with a couple of others borderline, otherwise you either got unders or, like 95% of them, didn't run.

I'd be curious about a horse like Kia Ora Koutou, Authoritarian if they were insane odds.

Lloyd will win again with Almandin. He hasn't hit top form yet.
If not he has another one at home named after a famous song

Yankee Rose will not stay. Prized Icon will not stay. Hartnell will have too much weight.

Can you call it daylight robbery when they hand over the money willingly?
