Which race ?

Can not think of a traditional Oaks day race suitable for him.

If he brings his A game he simply wins. Easily.

Wonder why Bowman isn't on him. Williams is having a very off spring at the moment. Couldn't lose a race a couple of spring carnivals ago so not sure what is happening there.

He simply sends him to the front, rates him on a fast tempo and stays there. Smile

Do you know how many trainers they have down here ?

The only one I know off the top of my head is Robert Smerdon.

Smerdon and Waller

They previoulsy had some with O'Brien but it was involved with the 'cobalt saga' so they took the horses elsewhere

Hard to measure him up off his last few runs

10th of 11

DVLE 14Aug16 1600m Good JACQUES LE MARO Group 1 $1,046,181 Jamie Spencer 59.5kg Barrier 1
1st Ribchester (IRE) 56.5kg, 2nd Vadamos (FR) 58kg 1:36.16, 5.3L $34

3rd of 5 GDWD 27Aug16 1609m Good CELEBRATION Group 2 $215,294 ($23,876) Jimmy Fortune 59kg Barrier 1
1st Lightning Spear (GB) 59kg, 2nd Zonderland (GB) 56kg 1:35.96, 2L $11

Will he bring his A game? Thought a small bet at the price was ok..

His only hope I'd have thought, although on second thoughts maybe Waller is training him the Aussie way. Can't think what his target is (maybe Perth?) but don't imagine they'll be busting his gut here.

Not sure what Waller gets to do with him whilst he is in quarantine except keep him ticking over. Can not imagine he'd have had too much influence on his style.

That said, Will be interesting to see if they announce prior to the race if they are going to change his tactics.

Ah I see. Read something about Waller learning about the horse so thought he'd been here a while.

Just googled and see Waller has nommed a big team for HK. From Racenet:

Chris Waller's boundless ambition has turned to the Hong Kong International meeting in December after nominating as many as 20 gallopers from his stable.

Mackintosh, McCreery, Preferment, Spiritjim, Vanbrugh, Winx, Cosmic Cube, Counterattack, Good Project, Torgersen, Antonio Giuseppe, Grand Marshal, Kinema, Sacred Master, Storm The Stars, Who Shot Thebarman, and Japonisme are among the initial entries, along with international acquisitions Closing Bell, Endless Drama, and Arod.

Arod's last run is missing from Australian sites.

Check against Racing Post site.

He was a 2l 5th to Tepin at Woodbine.

The BHA British Horseracing Authority uses time to measure the margins, and then the Racing Post uses the official margins.

Here, the two lengths comes from adding up the four distances between 5th and 1st, a neck being 1/4 length.

It's just that some of the gaps were maybe a bit long, and the two lengths looks closer to two and a half lengths to me.

As usual here, this is a deviation from the main topic, which is whether Arod will win on Thursday.  LOL

He's certainly dropped in class, might boss it.

Why is he not odds on?
