The whole female line were sprinter milers right back to George Ryder winning Pure Of Heart and it probably goes deeper.

So Si Bon has such superior form to most of these he could easily run second to The Taj Mahal in this.

Almandin is completely our of form, I do not care how wide he was the other day, that does not amount to 10 lengths at his best.

Big Duke is coming off a hard run in the Melbourne Cup after a hard campaign to get there.

The rest are not up to standard.

It is probably the worst thing that could happen but he is a live chance in this.

Haha , just have to have a dollar on him now after saying that , you watch him fly !!
But seriously , a 'good' run will only muddy the waters for mine.
I think fresh and bouncy in those short races is where he is best suited.

More interested in biting the winner then the race itself, maybe he needs djebels favourite cut to become a proper racehorse?

In all seriousness when does that kind of behavior become dangerous and potentially lead to a ban of some kind from racing? I'm far from an equine expert (Gay3) can answer this maybe?) but surely if the other horse reacts negatively it could cause bigger problems?

Raised testosterone levels = increased libido, ego & competitiveness. Fighting stallions always go for the legs in an attempt to incapacitate them, exactly as he did.
Rooting was not his intent, simply warding off competition at the height of the mating season.

Needs the 7f tempo to take the thinking time away from him.
That 10 and 12f tempo is too slow for him

That said once he got the taste out of his mouth he looked to settle and race perfectly. He simply did not have the stamina to finish the race.

Hopefully he races first up in Newmarket and has mares in stalls and barriers beside him.

Is it possible this behavior could become dangerous to the other horses in the race or the jockeys, say if the other bloke reacted and the 2 have a fight? Or will it simply play out as yesterday did without a reaction from the other bloke?
