Really carrying on in here gogos. For the record I think the horse will continue winning in Tassie but is limited in ability and will not face an easier field of older horses on the mainland then he did on Saturday. No knock against horse or trainer but he is quite a few lengths off the likes of Tasmanian stars Admiral and The Cleaner

I agree. He's ok but no star. Running him mid winter against those horses was a moderate test and we know he's decent but no gun. If he was a gun he wins by 3.

He could win a race in Melb though. He beat others that already have.

If they've got a good travelling process, including a comfortable 'home away from home', It might not be too late to head back home for a freshen up and make a run at something in the late spring?

Bart always said that patience was the cheapest, but least used, thing in racing so maybe even take a look at the summer/autumn programme and target the bigger tracks. He'll be a big, strong 4yo.

I agree with Delta re him not ever going to face an easier field of older horses again.

In saying that results probably switch if they were racing on a firm track.

Has been staying at Patrick Payne's farm just out of Melbourne whilst he was racing here. I am not sure whether he is going home to freshen for the spring or if he will freshen here.

Writing off a horse at 3yo is pretty harsh.

Tassie Derby horses often take a fair while to come back.

Geegees Blackflash did, Mourinho did, Ollie's Gold did, Shiralee (2nd) Geegees Classicboy all did.

I think he has done a marvelous job without winning this time in.  Give him 18 months and I think he will be a top liner.

You should never be in a hurry unless your 50 metres from the post and you're in front!

If he was ever going to win another good race, today is the day. Coming back in distance will suit, Kiss Me Ketut will ensure a good pace and enable Darma to have the last shot.
