He was also involved in a prototype, very lightweight stirrup a few years ago.
Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!

I have a wonderful, signed  ,  poster,  of Mick,  riding  stark naked, with the horse wearing Pelling Pacifiers !
I once got the chance to ask why we couldnt see any "bits " , and he said it was too cold the day they did the photo LOL

Yeah, I thought so too.
I actually wrote him a letter, way back then, and ask for a poster .
He very kindly mailed it to me, signed.
Then I ran into him at a race day, and told him about it, and him sending it to me, and ask the question.
He was really laid back and funny , telling the story.
I was always a big fan of him when he rode.
And I still have the poster.   Its very well done,,,side on full race pose up in the stirrups, , starkers.
Are people still using Pelling Pacifiers ??
