Pretty sure it’s just his owners and their friends voting. Nobody else seems to want him in.

I read that there are 800 owners in him. Is this remotely correct?

Whatever the margin he will get $90k for doing it. Would have to win 2 Saturday races in Brisbane to get that.

$100 cash, the plus value of having a runner in a $5m race on a big carnival day?

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t having a pop.

I’ve got very transactional attitude to racing horses.
(Which is why I no longer race any)

Where does it need to finish to win more than the guaranteed $90?

If I ever thought that I could make money out of ownership, I was set straight about 100 horses ago.

Last place prizemoney in this race is $90k for a $500 nomination fee.

Connections of the winning All-Star will pocket $2.25 million and, with prizemoney paid down to last place, the final runner home will collect $90,000.
