That reminded me of Lohnro's Australian Cup win except the interference to Werther was even greater.

Terrible error from Bowman yet the horse just had the absolute will to win.

Absolutely wrong. Bowman was napping and the two came round him to close him in. By the time Bowman realised it was too late and he pushed out into a space that had shut so Werther was checked as a result. The interference doesn't happen if Bowman makes the move outside the leaders before those behind him took off.

I love the bloke - my favourite jockey by some distance. But they all get it wrong from time to time. When it happens to Bowman they still win!

he was entitled to be where he was... they were not entitled to flatten him... lets see who gets suspended... oh the great riders in the stand... he was waiting to go was traveling well, they had no right to take his rightful running.

Watching the patrol footage on the link above Bowman had not established a run when the others whipped around him.

Doubt any will be suspended.

Can he drop back in trip and up slightly in grade to win in Dubai over 1800m ?

It shows you the bullgelati horses have to go to get out here. He should be down here for the Queen Elizabeth.

WERTHER goes around today in Hong Kong in a G2 over 2000m.

But I noticed his full brother GOBSTOPPER won the G3 NZ Cup over 3200m yesterday at Riccarton. A really strong win and outstayed a pretty good horse in PENTATHLON.

Ran very ordinary time, got away with murder in front, the other jocks went to sleep, if same happened in Oz the stewards would have had them all in!....John Moore has put 10 lengths on Werther, he could win a Cox Plate that horse.

I read that he was back in work with Andrew Campbell n NZ. But injury niggles saw him officially retired during the week.
