that is funny oneonesit
watched the programme, rather depressing , many nasty types whose only pleasure in their empty lives seems to be trolling. And that poor canadian guy who was banned from the internet for 3 years because of unjustified accusations from the feminazis Not many people are as nice and well adjusted as me , it is a sad world |

For those with Foxtel, on Featured now you can watch a Nat Geo doco on the rise of Isis in Syria. Goes back nearly 15 years to present day. Some amazing and confronting footage. Gives am excellent background lesson in how it is like it is today, with some exceptional interviews from numerous people, including Mike Flynn!!

Amistad last night on 34.
Fascinating true story, about Sierra Leone people abducted for slavery, taking over the ship and in a court battle to prove they were free people and not slaves, set in America in 1839. Brilliant cast.

Hidalgo (2004) - never watched it before, really enjoyed it. Always been a fan of Viggo, but Omar Sharif almost stole the show - nobody was taking the "star" mantle from the "painted pony" though!

Blue Murder was good. I wonder how much of it was true? A fair bit of dramatic licence is my guess.
I watched it with all the ads cut out.

Blue Murder was worth watching, just to see the brilliance of Richard Roxburgh's portrayal of Rogerson. Uncanny. The make-up artist that created Rogerson's "turkey neck" also deserves an honourable mention.
That show, and others of the genre ( "Underbelly", e.g.) seem to get a lot of viewers interest. I wonder what it is about those whose lives revolve around ruthlessly preying on the vulnerabilities of others, that is so fascinating to people. And never mind if they are stone-cold killers. |

........perhaps people like to live that life, vicariously, through those character portrayals. Perhaps that would be them, if they could muster the guts to operate outside the law, risking jail or reprisal from other criminals. How to explain the "lecture" tours of "Chopper" Read, a killer who seemingly preyed only on other criminals. There is a story that at one of those shows at, I think at Casino in northern NSW, a crim known to Read appeared in the audience, and made his presence known to Read. That person disappeared that night, and has never been seen since. It has been suggested Read did him in, fearing he had to "get in first", believing he was being stalked. These people don't change, Look at Rogerson, doing similar stage shows around the time of the murder he is now jailed for.

I am reminded of Sybil Fawlty expressing enthusiasm for the male characters in a Harold Robbins novel, because they were ruthless, which made them "so sexy" ! I guess a contrast to Basil !

People "proud" of having a bushranger ancestor....really have lost their way in life. A parasite that would terrorize innocent people with firearms, and maybe kill them for non-compliance, is a failed human being. Leave it to crims to idolize such people. |

TABOO (BBC First) ... Tom Hardy is a huge talent and shines in a raw, intriguing period piece about greed, scheming and deception, revenge, murder and dark magic ... no Dragons, but this is still better than GOT!
