Where does he go next? He should answer most questions then.

No not Epsom. Would tempt most trainers.
I didn't follow off season racing much this year but it shows something that the Hawkes team produced 2 of the only ones to get excited about, kept looking after them and keep looking after them come spring time. Most trainers would get over excited and throw them straight in the deep end.

You'd love to have a potential top liner with them because you know they won't stuff it up.

Please tell me you are joking?

Dunn could have kept him on the bridle and still won....big win.

He's genuine group quality, and is a progressive type.  He may be up to G1 level in time, but has yet to show it.  Rated the same first up as he did when won Hawkesbury Guineas.

J Hawkes is very astute. Knows it's a lot easier to find a horse's level when you bring them through the grades.

Except Maluckyday, was never the same after the Melbourne Cup run, of which John really didn't want to run the horse in.

Without doubt. As to who W Hawkes thinks is better, which one is the stallion?

Just needed to improve mentally, which it looks like he has.

That's what is known in the business as a 'granny'. So obvious, even your Granny would have seen it.

Hoping he goes Darley Classic, have loaded up multi's.

2 excellent wins up the straight off an unplaced run at Scone. I would wait to see him repeat yesterday around a corner before declaring him

Whitt0, Lol, time will tell. LR had  a great autumn, but doesn't seem to have come back as good. Sprinters tend to go in and out of form. But I was there at Flemington yesterday. I have seen a lot of sprint races over the years and I can safely say:-

Chautauqua's turn of speed was unbelievable.

He is probably best suited to big tracks though.

So whether it could do it at Monnee Valley or Rosehill is debatable.

Would have almost broken 11 in the last furlong too if he wasn't already so far in front.  When people say they think he might struggle around a tight turning track, he was being held by Dunn and cruised up to the leaders so I don't think it is a case of him needing to 'wind up' as such.

Yes, but on some courses there is a lot tighter racing than at the Flemington straight.

Will be interesting to see how he goes with two or three horses within a metre of him in the Manikato.

If he settles at the tail, as is his usual style, he will cover more ground coming around a field rather than racing a straight line at Flemington

Exactly Browndog. He would have to go 5 wide at MV.

They should just leave him racing on the Flemington straight as it suits his style.

Spring

Patinack

Autumn

Lightning
Newmarket

then to Ascot.

Golden Jubilee.

that is program that they should set.

I don't understand the fascination with Royal Ascot unless you either go for breeding purposes or you are loaded and just want the prestige. There are many, many races in this country that are worth a lot more than the Golden Jubilee and you don't have to travel to the other side of the world.

Simply it is considered the World Championship sprint race.

And it totally suits Chautauqua style of racing.

Yep, the Hawkes are pretty conservative but Royal Ascot suits Chautauqua style

And it is horses for courses.

I just think it would be the perfect horse to send.

But I don't own it.

Wayne Hawkes doesn't travel very far.
