Nope!

Had an absolute Barry today!

Got off DT last start, and thought I had done the right thing the way he ran his last 150m that day, when the leaders were all sticking on ... oh well, broke my own rule about being patient! Dead

wide all the way + not beaten far 1st up. better on wet tracks
but not hopeless here.

rc 7 just magical
races well at the valley, will need to have improved with the spell, but has some scope.

snippetee bee was scratched.
wouldn't be nice, 2nd last but only beaten 2.4L
just magical 2nd $ 8:90 the place, gave a darn good sight.

Dr E,

gives you the sh*ts when you get off a start or 2 too early + they get up @ big
odds but atleast you know you were on the right track.
better luck next time.

I think Setinum is a good e/w bet at $51 in the Memsie. I know it's a step up in class, but this gelding has some upside.

He has the attributes of a wfa horse, notably and most importantly a great turn of foot. He has shown this twice now in ok races, but yes, we don't know if the class to beat these is there yet. 50/1 is unders as he was half that price in a much weaker field last start.
I just won the Melbourne cup...

Back on this week - he is a wet tracker - just need some pace onWink

@ $12 he's overs, not really a roughie though ... this ones is!

MR6 # 4 Trevieres $31 - also nomed for the Memsie - super run and his class was obvious when almost won his Aussie debut here 2 years ago in the Toorack - if he has had a successful rehabilitation, and is near fit, I would expect him to be flashing at them late. Whatever he does here, I will be sticking.

Caulfield R4. BROCKHOFF $26
Caulfield R6. ZEBRINZ $24

Not sure if The Bowler can get past Rich Enuff tomorrow, but at $67 I'll have a decent crack EW to find out. Has to be one of the most consistent horses going around. Admittedly it's up against some very smart types, but for a horse that can win anywhere from 955 to 1700 & just loves winning, I think $67 is a crazy price.

Rich Enuff has never seen a soft track, let alone a heavy one. The Bowler is 3 for 3 on the heavy so I am rain dancing.

We are off to the Valley this weekend and looking forward to hopefully seeing some rough ones get up for once...

MV R2. Vincent's Thirst. Won on her last start, offering $21, thank you!
MV R3. High Church. Import who's mixed it with some very very good horses. $18 taken
MV R4. Streets Away for Weir stable and good young jockey on. Each way chance at $17
MV R5. Inner City Girl is $34 and $9 with Sportsbet, get some
MV R6. Just Magical has an excellent record 2nd up. Barrier sux balls but is a chance at 20-1 IMO
MV R8. Headwater is $24 and $5. Drops a whopping 7 kilos from last start, back in distance massive plus
MV R9. Danchai is $26 for the new stable, I'm on. Also like Coreggio at $26 and $6.40, crazy place odds

MR2#5 Bring A Ring @ $31.50 / $8.50

Brings some nice Sydney form into this, incl an effort leading all the way 2 starts back in similar grade. Unknown at the mile, but being by Sebring, chances are she will see it out.

Hoping for a big day for Matty Dale.

SR7#6 Rudy @ $26 / $7

This rain brings this guy right into this race, especially at this price. Has shown he is up to it at the top level with a 3L length 4th to Kermadec in the Donny. Fantastic 2nd up record, fantastic formlines & a winner at the track already.

$26 is a great price for this one..

Here's a couple I think can run well and are overs - some "mid" roughies included;

Melbourne

R1 # 1 Thurlow $34 - 2 yo form was good enough.
R2 # 1 Crafty Cruiser $12 - will start about the 4th outsider here - why?
R6 # 6 Riziz $15 - expect him to make Rich Enuff work in this, and frank the Alpine Eagle form.
R7 # 8 Our Ivanhowe $51 - strong as this field is, i can't imagine many of them would be good enough to run in a Japan Cup or an Arc ... he ran in both last prep, and also won a couple of G1's in Germany.
R7 # 10 Mongolian Khan $21 - Dual Derby winner, 9 starts 7 wins, won $1mill more than Volks and has a better record, but seems to get under the guard - the forgotten horse?
R7 # 16 Gust of Wind $67 - well found by a number of forumites last prep, and proved dominant in her Oaks win. This may be too short, but another with an excellent record, and her first up run was excellent. Will be attacking the line late.
R8 # 8 Madam Gangster $12 - excellent record, strong win 1st up, Immediately put away for a spring campaign after 2nd up last time was 4th to Catkins, Amanpour, Gypsy Diamond in G2 Emancipation - any one of those would be favourite for this.

Sydney

R2 # 3 Kingdoms $15he was competitive as a 3 yo in the classics in a vintage year, even with some wayward habits. Can still do things wrong, and did last start when should have won. Fresh form is good, and can win this.
R7 # 4 Aomen $31 - not that genuine, but has ability, and should get a lovely trail here behind a genuine pace. Will need all of breaks, because he can lose interest.
R8 # 5 Testashadow $18 - has plenty of ability, just got too far back last start. 2 for 2 third up and goes well t/d. Well placed this grade, and was scratched last week (for this?).
R8 # 11 Zaboss $51 - lightly raced before last preparation where he improved rapidly over a 9 start 3-3-1 preparation and graduated to 2400m BM75. Last few runs suggest he is a middle distance/staying type, but much of his form is around the mile. He is an adaptable type, and can race handy. Could give some cheek with the claim.

Brisbane

R2 # 2 Canny Ballad $26 - Been struggling, and seems an age ago that he beat the likes of Jaquinot Bay, Mourinho, Extra Zero and Shenzou Steeds in winning the 2014 Albury Cup. Far better performed than this lot, and only needs to return to the form that saw him placed in the Wyong Cup last year to win this shallow event.
R3 # 3 Perplexity $21 - another former Sydney sider whose old form would have him favourite here - in fact, showed a new zest for racing when resuming in this area in February with 3 placings. Mile 2nd up and J Lloyd all helps.
R5 # 1 Bush Aviator $41 - has always shown some ability since his winning debut in 2 yo Stakes company in Tassie. That is his only 1st up win from 7 attempts, and he normally takes a few runs to find form. 4th up now at a t/d where he has had success, this looks suitable.
R7 # 12 Loceano $21 - yet another immigrant from NSW (G. Walter and J Pride) with useful form lines. 3rd up here from a freshen and a change of stable. From three 3rd up attempts, has won twice and most recently 2nd to the handy Lord Leofric at Canterbury in June, similar class to this. T Bell retains the ride, ready now.

Hazard is honest and talented enough to run a race if a couple of the others aren't ready, and Turner Bayou could be ready to run much better over more ground in a donkey race.

Not that rough, but I think Thunder Lady has a huge chance at $15 in the first in Sydney.

I think Gold Symphony can be in the finish of the Golden Rose. He's $26 with Sportsbet.

$81 Sir Andrew is a nice price at Flem. Was ridden too close last time. If they go quick, he is a chance to run home late
