There are a few that I like in the "mid" rough range, but basically the same as last fortnight - nothing really jumps out at me.

I will give Decirles one more chance from a nice barrier ...

MR8 #7 Decircles $34
In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

Think there could be a couple of e/way midrange at Sydney race 7 Miss Hufflepuff/Race 8 Magic Dallas, then Brisbane race 4 Moshulu just the placement of these makes me interested

Great to see this thread still giving some winners!

I thought the best roughie bet was Weiry's horse Tilla Bell Rings at $26 & $8! in the 3rd at Flemington. That $8 was a shocker, couldn't believe they'd put that up??? Horse is looking for the mile, barrier sux balls, but new and in form jockey and most importantly gets firmer footing. This boy will be motoring home, look for him late.

Flemington R6. Did anyone else notice that the 100 rater is Jo Jo Girl??? Currently at $34 fixed odds, threw a pineapple on each way. Don't think I've ever seen a 100 rater at such big odds. Bit of rain would help her chances plus she can run the trip with 2 starts for a win and a 2nd... Probably the best value runner in the race?

$21 is available for Jarrod McLean's runner Let's Be A Star who goes round in the 7th. Jarrod took over the ex. John Sargent runner late last year. The 3 runs since from taking over have been very good with a 3rd, 2nd and another 2nd... She might just be able to crack a win for the new stable tomorrow, keep very safe as a few I know down her have jumped on.

Looking elsewhere, the last at Rosehill I'm on Kerrin's ride Aghamore. I understand that he's been trialing on a few heavy tracks and going super! Does like the wet and although not the best 1st up form, it will pay to follow this prep.

Pickabee in the last at Rosehill.

Having second run for John Thompson today.
Stats off inside draws look good. 4 wins from 7 when drawn five or closer.

Hasn't won in a while but was running in stakes races this time last year.
Has won a respectable five from thirteen in non black type events.

Some chance in an open race today.

Tom Raks to run a bit of a race in the Takeover Target at Flemington. 50/1 available and only carries 51kg. If front runners are doing OK today will be there for a while.

Gee forget Tilla Bell Rings went round, pathetic ride. Should have won IMO.

Let's be a Star scratched unfortunately.

I know it's not rough but I did get $16 for Most Husbands in the last at Morphettville.

Also keen on Sparkling to Win $34 & $9 in the 7th at Flem and Judicial Rock at $21 in the last.

Cheers EI ... it's all about perseverance (ie not knowing when to give up!)Wink

That being the case, it's one more time for this old bloke!

Sydney Race 7 # 3 Decision Time - $26  ... and it is definitely that, for this grand old campaigner! ... if he doesn't show us his true colours, it must be time to pull the pin on what has been a stellar career! Clap

Amazingly, this is the first time he has not lined up in a Group or Listed event since he was a 2 yo! Won his first 3 races, and since then he has only ever shown up against the elite on race day. 9 wins (6 and 6 placings in black type), 2nd in a Golden Slipper, $1.5 million in stakes, his "scalps" include Hay List, Sea Siren, Tiger Tees, Temple of Boom to name a few, so hardly a plodder! Just hasn't fired this time in, and now finds himself amongst the supporting cast in the BM90 on Saturday. Barrier 1, gets in 3.5 kg above the limit with the claim and a wet track ... he wont know himself!!!Big smile

Yep, it's definitely "D.T." Day!!!  Stern Smile

PS: One interesting thing I noticed in researching his form, he can win a barrier trial!Thumbs Up

In spite of the fact that he has not finished better than 9th since resuming in March, he is 4 for 4 in barrier trials this time in, including his latest by 4 lengths at WFarm on Monday. In fact his record in BT's is 14:9-3-1 (and a 4th!) ... if he fails again, just give him to Gai! ... she'll keep him ticking over in barrier trials till he's 20 if he keeps winning them like that!LOL

Wonder what the decision will be this time ...?

Had every chance today, he's either hurting or past it ... yet it doesn't stop him braining them in barrier trials!Confused

For a horse who built a reputation of never running a bad race it just makes it so obvious that there's something seriously wrong with Decision Time, looks like he is struggling to run out 1000m.
for those about to punt, we salute you...

Thumbs Up Gee, he rode DLE like an odds on pop, and he won accordingly! Clap

Plenty of value around this week ... but they reckon you can't eat value!Wink

Flemington R2 Garden View Pavilion (bm84)
5. Arena Rock
@ $26.00 (Win)
Consistent type who comes to hand quickly, may need further but should be running on when some of these are gasping.

Flemington R8 Flemington Event Staff (bm90)
9. Clanga's Glory
@ $13.00 (Win)
Looked back to his best flashing home here latest over 1400, 4:1-1-1 t/d, won 5 on soft - ready now. Thumbs Up

Flemington R9 Briseis Hcp
6. Secessio
@ $21.00 (Win)
 - run of the race from near last in arguably the worst going and nearly pinched it. Beat Bagman fair and square and has put consecutive runs together in the past, handles any going - 20/1!!!Wacko

Rosehill R2 Benchmark 74
1. Duccio
@ $26.00 (Win)
Huge run 1st up when widest without cover all the way - every right to "give up meekly" but battled strongly - 2nd up for Her Royal Hollowness is a good formula.

Rosehill R6 Hungry Jacks (bm75)
4. Scratch Me Lucky
@ $67.00 (Win)
 - r/up Sires Produce last year and looked likely to challenge the good 3 yos. Hasn't really fired since, but if he happened to recapture that form he would lap these, best runs on wet tracks, last chance.

Doomben R8 Global Transport Insurance Hcp
2. Cornrow
@ $21.00 (Win)
 - another 2014 Sires produce placegetter that has failed to live up to the early fanfare (maybe it was a dud race?). Changed trainers, gone north, showed something 2nd in open class latest - 20/1 is acceptable against own age off seasonBig smile

Lets start with a couple of synthetic specialists at good odds at Geelong to fill our pockets for the weekend!

R7#7. Wairoa $31 ... he's a 7 yo's too! ... hope he can't readWink

R8#10. Big Buddie $21 ... forgive his last shocker here and he was 2 for 2 at the track.

Take them into;

MR7#6 Wales $67 - still goes around as an entire, who can blame them! Bred to win a Golden Slipper or a Melb Cup, and does have ability. Has bobbed up fresh in the past in his injury curtailed career. These are not the sprinting cream.

SCR7#3 Malavio $21 - was running around just behind the place getters in the Sydney Autumn group races, has to beat a provincial field here ... could lap them!

Then head down the highway to Newcastle to find a couple who are looking for some confidence in the right grades;

R6#6 Strike Me Lucky $51 - yet to find form after a year off. 4th up should be fit enough for this, should be in the first few in running and hope he can finish it off. Previously was showing staying promise, mixing it with Black Jag, Grand Marshall etc. over 2000m +

R8#7 Catseye Surprise $21 - has been up to mixing it in F&M Quality fields in and around town, now finds herself nicely in against a fairly non-descript bunch of honest battlers in this BM70. Winning jockey back on, she would be swamping these in the last 100m at her best.

Good Luck!Thumbs Up
